Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

  • I think with Epatante yesterday, she absolutely cruised up and looked like winning as she did last year.

In my opinion because she had to switch and try to pick up was the reason she didn’t win outright. On the other hand there was plenty of time to get going and win. Whether that was the ground or her not being as good, possibly even a combination of both, time will tell.

I don't lay horses very often, maybe count on one hand.
      Only 4pts risked though.
I think the tactics will be interesting and Stormy Ireland could either take some catching (if in the same form as late spring) or she'll set it up and the stronger stayers will be chasing her down.
She (Honey) could also ease away on the bridle
I know they've said she'll be fitter this time, but I find it hard to believe they'd do too much different as they wouldn't want t impact her later season targets.
In big early season graded races if I don’t like a favs chances I’ll lay the places for more value.
If the top ones gets into a battle and looks like they’ll struggle to get in front then they usually ease off and save the horse for later season targets, so instead of laying at 1.39 for the win I’d try buying myself a 10/1 winner and lay her 3 places.
All that said I think she’s a good way ahead of this lot and should win…

      • Rumours around Fairyhouse are that Honeysuckle maybe pulled out. (From RTV)

I would guess this will be ground related

If she does I doubt Henry will get as much stick as Nicky has. Honeysuckle won twice on good once on good/yielding.

          • That's what we wanted. If there's one lurking out there mulling taking her on they better make sure they're good!

Edit: I caught the race late and didn't know about LE, dreadful.

            • The bookies should just pay out all bets on her for Cheltenham now

                • Looks as good as ever, gonna take something very special to beat her in march.

                  • Easy, but the others made it much easier for her. There was only ever 3 horses in the actual race.

At least we know she's fit and well

                      • The jockeys on saldier, Abacadabras, latest exhibition and darasso should get a few days holiday

Sitting 30 lengths off the pace essentially just having a jog around for fitness

                        Farce of a race

                        • You can see LE in the background on the replays, not much turns my stomach but that was awful. Poor lad.

Worship at the temple of Honeysuckle. Maybe the market should be for who comes 2nd at Cheltenham. No stride at the last two fences but she just shortened and popped over safely - only just won this last year - she's still improving!

Very sorry about grand stayer Latest Exhibition
