That would fuck with people's heads.
He may not run them all in Dublin for whatever reason, but he usually does.
Sounded from Willies RTV interview that Blue Lord would be going to the Arkle, and may not go to the DRF on the way.

From the way I read it, as he played out his thoughts into words, I dont think he was seeing them both in the Irish Arkle together, and that the clash be in the Arkle - which is great for the Arkle.

He was also very impressed with Blue Lord's speed, and the way he pulled clear.

      I read it twice.
im attempting very badly to say that all the time the Irish are dominating, the DRF gives us more insight into Cheltenham than I would like. I would prefer as many puzzles to be solved at Cheltenham as possible and not before.

Most would have looked speedy against those 2 today.
He didn't actually say he'd skip Dublin though did he ?

        Not his usual MO.
However I could see it happening. For sure.

I could also see the Townend could ride him in the Turners argument being used also. Assuming big nose is still out.

        It'll all play out.

          Okay
          I get it now.
That's the UK trainers fault really for not coming up to scratch.
          So what you're saying.
Is you don't want any good racing before the festival
We're back to prep races again

I like the DRF weeding out horses from the Grade 1's so the Festival Grade 1's have less chance of having hard luck stories.

              I love it.
It's better than the festival, or getting close.

Does it matter whose fault it is? The DRF is a hell of a lot more than good races let’s be realistic it’s direct competition to Cheltenham....unless the brits can challenge there will be no need for both soon

See where you are coming from. DRF franking the form, a solid 11/4 going off on the day in March just north of Evens. The puzzles are solved by Cheltenham rather than unfolding at the Cotswolds.

                          • Knocking the Dublin Racing Festival as it detracts from Cheltenham, is a contender for most bananas sentence I've read on here.

I know it's a Cheltenham focused forum but my goodness!

                              • Similarly a win at the DRF doesn't guarantee a repeat at the Festival. Whilst many horses follow up, plenty more don't.
