At Sandown today - lovely round of jumping and stayed well. Well and truly put TTL in his place! Decent EW shout for the Arkle - depends how AI turns out when he eventually runs…

Big contrast with the ride on Edwardstone
May well have bottomed TTL too, driven right out in the battle for 2nd. Not his finest hour all round.

        • The Henry 8th fell apart at first look. TTL looks spectacular when jumping but just a waste of energy.

Riviere D'Etel won well again as expected, even with the penalty. Slightly right at some but I'd have her above Edwardstone for this.

          • Wouldn't have anything from the Henry 8th for the Arkle. Skelton will never learn, gave TTL no chance, good have a good chance in a grand annual sitting off a strong pace.

Gordon's mare looked good again, will be without the allowance for 5 Yr old in Chelt though is the only negative. Travels and jumps. Will they look at the G1 at Lep at Christmas I wonder.

The Morans are on holiday so may not be out over Xmas according to Gordan.

Yep, great for all the non-believers. Lots of this early season 'form' taking kicks in the pants. Mullins must be buzzing.

                • Edwardstone looks the exact type of horse to do an eldorado allen and pick up the pieces after the other horses burn each other off

Cant see him winning but could definitely see him placing

Not sure re Mullins buzzing as he currently has zilch as we stand. Could all change though.

                    • ….Hills have Rivier Detel @ 14-1 for this in their Specials section. It’s a 12-1 best price elsewhere & 10-1 in their Arkle market.

                      • I would not give up on TTL just yet, not the jockeys finest hour imo.
                        Might be some value now.

                        • That's probably the Magic Daze dream over too, though she did go off way too quick which might explain the emptying at the death...

                          • That was pretty impressive from Concertista, seemed to be learning with each fence, notable that she closed the gap to Magic Daze on the flat with the omitted fence. Decent pace set, plenty to like there.

Her and TTL would make the Arkle a proper staying race !
