Can’t see appreciate it entered in anything, not the beginners on the 27th!

If he's still sound (fingers crossed for everyone he is) how long will they leave it to still go chasing this season?

Beginners at Limerick or Leopardstown not entered in either. Also no hurdle entries either if they thought about staying over them. Unless he gets fired at the Matheson.

"There is a two mile chase next week for Appreciate It at Fairyhouse but because it is on the inside track and because it has been so dry, we have to decide do we wait and go to Christmas or not. There is a beginners chase in Leopardstown over Christmas and you wouldn't mind winning either but we'll see."

No Appreciate It entry to be seen, surely this would either indicate a setback of some kind (hopefully not) or the fact Mullins has entered Ferny in a grade 1 over 2m that he is his #1 Arkle horse. Intriguing development either way!

Very worried about Appreciate It now. Mullins either enters him in the 2 1/2 mile Beginners at Leopardstown on the 28th or he isn't out over Christmas in a chases. That would be a huge pointer to where he will go to at the fest if he does go in that race.

Beyond Christmas there are only 4 Beginners Chases over 2m /2.1m before March and one of them he isn't eligible to run in:
9/1/22 Fairyhouse
15/1/22 Fairyhouse (Not eligible)
27/1/22 Gowran Park
10/2/22 Thurles

I can't see him starting him off up in grade now either

Surely its very unlikely he come's here now with just the 3 options and one of them being mid Feb?

I know its not ideal but he did start Cilaos Emery out on 27th Jan and we all know the Arkle was his after that run so it's not too late if he is getting close to being ready.

Seen as they have been very keen to make sure he starts on suitable ground and the course still watering I would imagine it's a ground issue again. Though that's just my opinion.

You'd hope so but normally he would enter the horse and then not declare him like he has done a few times this season when he's pulled him out due to the ground.

Even without all that, this isn't the best prep at all

Agree about that but as we know mullins block entered everything and he’s no entry at any track over the 2 days.

He could well be just leaving him until later but no news and no entries has you wondering.

I’ve cashed my pp bets just in case and kept my 365 bets.

I suspect the main ambition is to get him out but looks strange he misses the 2m Beginners earlier in the week and then turns up for this?

Whilst Willie doesn't tie his horses to trips particularly first time up then surely if there is a temptation to split Ferny and Appreciate It up then Ferny bagging a Grade 1 over 2m and AI starting over 2.5m... rather shows their hands. If that did happen I could no longer countenance the AI Arkle and Ferny Marsh, that would seem highly unlikely unless they lost.

Guess the main thing is to get the entry tomorrow. But I'm starting to wonder....

Id be a little bit surprised if ferny actually beats riviere detel in the grade 1 giving all that weight

I'd be wary of when this was recorded (i'e before he was not entered in the race on the 27th)
It would be a strange Mullins decision to not enter for the race on Monday and only the one the day after.
