There's no way Skelton sets him off in front again. Something else will have to make the pace or else we are going to get one of those silly races where they crawl for the first mile. That'll suit TTL more than others.

Blue Lord cantering all over them swinging round the final bend up the hill having put in a sublime round of jumping, Mullins second string follows him home. That'd be ideal

2. Edwardstone - best of the British. 6th in Shishkin's supreme reads well and was ahead of TTL in the County last year
3. War Lord - wild one at a big price but similar profile to Eldorado Allen last year, beat TTL at Sandown. Progressive

1. Coeur Sublime for me should be coming here if HdB's previous style of campaigning his novices are anything to go by. highest or joint highest rated hurdler and rock solid jumper. Wasn't overly pushed at Christmas and travelled and jumped quite well. Ferny and RD were struck much more times with the whip than CS. Just don't trust HdB this season. It's like he's turned into Phillip Hobbs!
2. Riviere D'Etel. She may have had a couple of hard races over Christmas and in Dublin but she's reported to be strengthening up all the time and a mare in form cannot be ignored.
3. Third Time Lucki- Think he has enough back class to be a player. Decent jumper. Quite slick and if held up, should be thereabouts.

For now, this is a race I’m just going to leave until Cheltenham if I want to go in again. Whoever the fav is, surely won’t be any shorter than 5/2 on the day, especially as this maybe one of the biggest fields we have seen in this race for some time.
I can also see someone like Skybet picking this as there cash back on any horse that finish 2nd, 3rd or 4th race too, so might be worth taking into account.
For me the horses are so evenly matched at the top of the market and on the day you can’t rule out any horse in the race to at least place.
I don’t think it’s so much of who the best horse is in the race, rather than who are the best jockeys. I can see this being a very tactical affair and who gets them right will more than likely win, so I will be looking at who Townsend, Rachel and Davy Russel is riding on the day.
Blue Lord – Townsend
Riviere dEtel – Davey Russel ??
Magic Daze - Rachel ??

I'd imagine Rachael would be on Coeur Sublime.

Had a quick look there and I can be corrected on this but in the last 10 renewals of the arkle, Willie Mullins has only ran one horse each year.
Seems a bit of a mad stat if its correct, but I suppose there were probably a few years with horses injured for Willie like Energumene last year and years where he didn't have that many novice chasers.
This year is probably different with it looking like a weaker renewal with Appreciate it and Ferny Hollow both not running. And also Willie has plenty of top quality novice chasers this year. So he could run 2 of his, hard see him run 3 or more when you look at last few years
