He's trained by Alan King (obviously won it before, but is Edwardstone of that calibre, does he have to be?)
His Cheltenham record (festival or not) is average (could also be said of his rivals tbf).
That said, it's not looking a hot renewal of the race, so despite my concerns I find myself thinking about backing either him or Riviere D'etel as cover bets for stakes for the race.

The british 2m novice hurdlers were all sub par last season which means he has nothing to beat
And TTL the other decent British novice was given a terrible ride (again) when they faced off
What he has in his favour is the race is going to be run to suit

Would work for me... I'm actually up before it's run.
1. Haut En Couleurs - on the back of a fall, Willie second string takes it!
2. Edwardstone - under estimated, e/w price on the day as everyone hates Kingy.
3. Blue Lord - punted off the boards.
I actually am struggling to have any strong opinion at all..... usually love the Arkle!

This race has become plain dull really. Cant see Rivere winning after such a busy season and with a smaller weight advantage and personally wouldn't have any of the English in the frame unless there's less than 3 Irish contenders. If Mullins runs 3 they could well fill the frame. I would like to see Haut En Coulours run here as i think he could run Blue Lord close. If Blue Lord jumps around he will be hard beat.
