Given that I have procured the Jumpers to Follow book since my last post on this thread. I'll reiterate Gerri Colombe for the Ballymore (2m4f is the trip he will be seen to best affect).

Another couple with positive comments could be Hubrisko for the Supreme who is a pacy sort over the minimum trip and Party Central for the Mares Novice Hurdle...Jamie Codd called her "just about the best mare in the country last season" and mentions the MNH as a possible aim.

That would apply to any horse out there though. Shes already had a run this season and won so she's already ahead of lots of the others in that respect.

Next Destination as an each way Gold Cup bet.
only just touched off by Galvin in the Nhc on only his third start over fences. Also has a good form line with Monkfish via the RSA runner up a la his Warwick run.
if there’s one race the trainer has top form in at the festival it’s the GC.
sure, he may well be targeting aintree but still think he could rock up in the GC.
Speculative I know but he’s got a big heart and wouldn’t be far away in my book.

Yep, can see it entirely. He'll be 10, but he's a fair price, and always looked as though he was doing his best work late on over 3m last season.

There seems to be a case building for The Bosses Oscar in the NH Chase given the views of one or two FJ judges, Run Wild Fred appears in two of the yankees already so perhaps the right time to get another option in ?
Not priced up by everyone sadly and around the 12s/14s mark so no huge value but another option…

Its all about options at this time Ista.

It doesnt mean you think any less of Run Wild Fred, if you back TBO too.

                Its keeping the options open.

Cashout preferred if the prices are similar (and you have access).

Yes, Bet365 and Betfair and Paddy Power.

William Hill have just started doing Cashout on antepost bets, I have cashout on all the small stakes singles they let me do, (and I am heavily restricted with them) but I havent tried a double or multi yet since they launched cashout.
Maybe check their website your bound to find the answer pretty quickly I would think.

Thanks SW but it was a general question, none of those want my business these days…

Have you done any each way bets with WH? They've offered cashout (only 85%) to me on everything apart from each way bets

                          No.

                          I rarely back each way.

That surprises me Saxon - as you unearth so many big price fancies.

Presumably, you find it doesn’t pay.

I am trying to find big priced winners a long way out that start at much shorter prices.

Getting 1/5 odds for 2nd or 3rd rarely floats my boat and inspires me to pay for another bet for those two places.

For the Grand National and 5 places already available, I do make an exception.

On some other races at 40/1, 50/1, 66/1 I have started recently (only on some of them), backing the 'place' to make me breakeven on the horse, overall, if it came 2nd or 3rd.
But Not a full each way bet.

                              So for a 1pt win at 50/1
If I want my money back for the horse finishing 2nd or 3rd, I do consider covering that win stake with 0.1pt on the place at 50/1 @ 1/5th odds = 10/1 place.

That gives 1.1pt return if 2nd or 3rd
                              For 1.1pt total stakes.

Much more efficient use of my money in my opinion, as I'm not looking to back placed horses - just winners.

Backing for winners means I can back double the number of antepost longshots win only - rather than half that number each-way.

By a similar premise, I would rather have 2 'win only' horses running for me in a race at Cheltenham than one horse each way (for the same total stake)

My betting is more about backing my judgement and finding winners.

I don't feel enough satisfaction finding placed horses. (some, but not enough).

Not sure if anyone else has tried, but cashout with Hills does not seem to work. When you click to cashout it says ‘an error has occurred’ and cashout unavailable at this time.
