I’ll be watching this one closely tomorrow & have taken some of the above. I know I’ve mentioned him a couple of times on here on several threads but think he could be a real fly in ointment come March. Could end up in the Arkle, Marsh or even back hurdling if he can’t jump fences and then Champion Hurdle becomes an interest for Munir/Souede and I generally don’t think he’d be out of place in any of them.
Last years’s Supreme - all anyone’s talked about is Appreciate It and nothing else out of the field, bar Ballyadam not being as good as first hyped.
Blue Lord pulled clear of the rest before coming down at the last & was 6l behind Appreciate It at the time who finished 24 lengths ahead of Ballyadam. He travelled strongly throughout & was not stopping getting up the hill even if beaten at the last. I think given all of the big “names” in the Mullins yard has gone under the radar.
He’s obviously expected to win tomorrow but I’d like to see a real good performance, something electric & more assured than I thought Bob Olinger’s fencing debut was for instance… he puts it all together & I’d expect he’ll be cut from 33s generally for the Arkle/Marsh to 16s. His target at the Festival is obviously far form certain too, especially given the talent available at the Mullins yard. One worth considering IMO with any race effectively at 33/1 should he win tomorrow.
Aye, 80s a good start for the Triumph. Surprised if there's not a better one about somewhere but he keeps getting the job done for now. Pleased to have him on side.
Very chuffed with today's. Blazing Khal, Blue Lord and Knight Salute all in the book. As stated, decent day for this thread. Cracking effort as ever Eggs
This is what this Forum’s all about! Finding price opportunities on the right horses who will give you a run (hopefully) come the big days in March; when you’re surrounded by your mates in the Guinness Village who are backing the same horse at 7/2 on course you’ve got in the book at 33/1.
The level of knowledge on this forum is second to none! Was happy with Blue Lord’s run today & hopefully has a few of us in a nice position on him for any race in March now, where hopefully he’ll be a live contender. The price Hills showed at 33s was wrong IMO & it’s thanks to Eggs we can view these offers quickly and exploit them when they’re good ones. It also shows you the significance of posts by everyone on here that markets are moved by people backing selections.
I'd want double figures to be honest. He's heading towards 2/1 for the Long Walk. So the rolling singles looks better than 15/2 (probably). Wins really well and I guess he could go under 2s for the Stayers though...
