  • Hills have a whole host of new enhanced odds under specials for today’s winners. Largy is tempting at 20s but I believe a step up in trip is likely based on jockey comments and breeding. Shirocco out of a presenting mare screams improvement for a step up. Janidil at 18s is quite appealing

What did Keith say RB? I didn't see anything.

I'm contemplating what to do with him, and I would be interested if they're thinking he'll go up to a mid-distance trip.

Almost every close relative with a Scirocco/Presenting cross has needed at least two and half miles, and generally three. The only Scirocco of note to perform over the minimum was Annie Power with her Champion Hurdle win, and she had a proper staying pedigree. That though makes me want to hear something from connections post-race because breeding can sometimes fool you, and they may intend to stay over the minimum where my interest would be much less. They'll have surely been encouraged by the run yesterday, and will be tempted to stick to two miles for now, and if he wins again it makes a step up in trip increasingly unlikely.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

….only post race quote I saw was from Assistant, David Roche; ‘He had been working really well coming here, we thought he was a nice horse. Our fellow jumps and travels well & we told Keith to be positive’.

It’s not on any of the quotes on a the races sporting life etc they all quote the same thing its the jockey comments on the racing replay...there is a video of it on racing tv app. The jockey said he could go up in trip ...you might not see the best of him until he goes up in trip. Connections have a mare out of scirocco and a presenting mare heather rocco who they mainly campaigned over 2m 4 + and lieutenant rocco is also scirocco out of a presenting mare.

Thanks RB. I'll give it a watch, and decide what to do from there.

That's a great price, unless they don't think he comes over

I wouldn't expect him to make the trip over. The race just doesn't suit him one bit.

I thought that originally but have kind of changed my mind - can't see why they wouldn't travel over. He's the best staying chaser around and 33/1 is completely the wrong price, imo.

Like it too, contrary to the seemingly majority i actually think the KG will suit his running style, his ability to lie up on a fast even pace would suit, could easily be up on Frodons shoulder tje whole way round, someones going to disrupt Frodons tactics and i think it could be this fella.
