I cannot believe I'm reading that.
How can anybody doubt Joseph's training ability? He is about 7 years old and has won big races all over the world. I would be staggered if he's not a future Champion Trainer in Ireland (on the level, obviously).
Edwulf and Ivanovich Gorbatov should both be chalked down as winners for Joey to add to Band Of Outlaws.

My final bet before the 5-Day Decs kick in, is in the Coral Cup, as I expect to cashout my Palmers Hill bet for this race given at the Festival Weights event Jonjo O'Neill said that PH has come back a little sore from his first run for 15-months (last weekend) and he hoped he would be okay for Cheltenham, but couldnt be sure.
The replacement, to me, now looks better than my other remaining bets on the Coral Cup (Dame De Compagnie, Thosedaysaregone).
Alfa Mix 16/1 NRNB - Coral Cup
This is trained by Gavin Cromwell, and after his devastating loss of Espoir D'Allen, I really hope that he wins again at the Festival this season, and this could be one of his best chances.
Form over hurdles is all this season -641512 with his first four hurdles runs over the minimum 2M trip, including a 9&1/2 length win, and an hampered close up 5th beaten 2&1/2 lengths, staying on at the end.
That last run probably told his connections that a step up in trip would benefit the horse and he has subsequently ran twice over 2M4F in bigger pot handicap hurdles and acquitted himself really well.
He beat Top Moon by a length-and-three-quarters at Navan, winning EUR29,500 on his first run over the mid-distance (off 127 rating), absolutely cruising through the race and staying on well from the last.
With a 9lb rise, he next ran off 136 in another 2M4F Navan Handicap Hurdle worth EUR29,500 in January, again cruising through the race, and pulling around 20-lengths clear of the rest of the field, when narrowly beaten by just over a length behind Kilfenora.
His strong travelling style will suit a race like the Coral Cup and he has been allowed to run here off his new 142 rating in Ireland (big result). I think this could be the clincher to running in this race, rather than the Supreme/Ballymore/Martin Pipe.Last edited by Saxon Warrior; 1 March 2020, 02:00 PM."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

Added Top Moon at 33/1 EW 5 places NRNB with Paddy.
Alfa Mix has shortened a lot the past few days and looking at his form I remembered I'd backed Top Moon against him at Navan before Christmas. He was giving Alfa Mix the best part of a stone that day and I felt at the time he was given a fairly tender ride and he is now 7lb's better off with that horse. Hard to understand why Alfa Mix is currently 14/1 and Top Moon 33/1 to me.
Obviously Joseph's form is a bit of a worry, but I do think this fella is pretty well handicapped. Kilfenora has a mark of 152 for beating Alfa Mix a length while giving him 10lb's. Top Moon has a mark of 142 for being beaten less than 2l giving him 11lbs. Kilfenora is also only 16/1 for this race.
