    • More than happy with Bachasson then, satisfactory reappearance and will surely come on for that.

Fingers crossed he gets an entry 20s+ would be nice price wise.

      16s first show with Hills

      • Elliott has confirmed this as Conflated target. Seems a bit of a slow uptake on this but he’s got loads of G1 novice form & I know a few have popped him up as the alternative to FJF fav horse (COF) over in the Pipe. A bit of 16/1 any race out there - I’m sure he’ll be shorter than that when they price him up for this. Took a bit of the 16s win only

He's the same sort of profile for me as Aramon in that they've been running in G1s coming up slightly short and dropping down a level here could be a class apart from the others. Added a double on them both with Sky - Conflated here & Aramon County NRNB @ 288/1.

Do you not think Mullins has hidden Stratum away for this MiJ ?

Every possibility he has, especially given who the owner is. Some training performance that would be too winning the Cesarewitch and the Coral Cup in the same season.

I also echo the comments regarding Stratum and have covered both of these horses

He's a bit of an enigma Bachasson & an interesting entry. Got some solid Hurdles form (Ran 10 times, only been out of first 3 twice), the only thing that slightly puts me off adding him here nearer the time (probably when Coral pay e/w first 7 places) is that his record at Cheltenham is UR & F. Could be third time lucky here however... can't think of many runners off the top of my head who have run in a Gold Cup & then end up in the Coral Cup.

                  • Really like Bachasson myself and just added him at 14/1 NRNB. Rated 159 over fences and only 147 over hurdles so even with a hike you'd like to believe he's well handicapped as he doesn't appear to prefer fences. Seems very versatile ground wise and I have always felt he had a big day in him!

                    • Canardier who finished fifth in this last year has been transferred to willie mullins as of today from Dermot Mcloughlin and has an entry in this despite going novice chasing at the start of the year. He has no entry in the novice handicap chase.

he's currently 2lbs higher than last year, Maybe willie's number 1 for this???

Interesting. Let's hope the handicapper doesn't increase his mark again. Ran an excellent race last year on ground that was too soft and is a better horse fresh so would ignore Punchestown run last May. Clearly hasn't taken to fences so this is a good move. If it ever dries out he is one to keep onside.

I like this! Have backed him TWAR earlier in the season as is just the type to spring up in something like this. Good spot.

Yes nice shout jack. I backed him last year and he ran a great race. Just added him at 37/1 with Hills and today's boosts.... only 14/1 with PP.

Would've gone closer if they didn't ride him up the inside on the home straight last year as well, anything that went that side went backwards rapidly. 14's with PP is a nice sign, can't see the British handicapper raising him much based on this year??
