Did the same with Prince of Scars, and he's ran three times since the Galmoy where he returned after 2 years rated 150, and ran last week over fences rated 128.
    He's shit now.
True Q but Prince Of Scars never really looked like he has much ability in the locker to me, Double D’s is a different story, if retaining the class post injury.

The problem is (and Q's point) .... is that he might just be shit and we'd have seen the same form

He's not ran with any eye catching promise really in that return, other than he finished the race....

Cracking Smart was talked up a lot also (although not coming from a break), and he turned out to be exposed too.
Death Duty's chase form was looking very promising before injury/death (I thought he was dead too)
I'd say it's less likely a plot vs exploring if he still retains any similar ability. But just me being cautious.

I’ve watched the race back a few times & I really think Rachel was very gentle on him he was right there on the bridle jumping two out, maybe she thought she was hidden by the dense fog & could mask a plot run.

She'd have been gentle on him cos he hadn't had a run in 2 years.....

I don't think Rachel Blackmore is using fog to mask a plot Sean

That is a heck of a theory

              Tongue firmly in cheek Kev.

But I do genuinely fee he’s worth a flyer at 25/1 with cashback.

He's on the radar for sure because of the horses he's had in behind him.

Personally I can see him being a decent price on the day still, with all the extra places etc...... if he runs again and it's similar and they STILL enter him, he'll be of interest for me.

I want him to be good, but I'm too cautious to back every horse with back class now, as plenty end up being shite and the only ones [we] tend to remember are the times it works in our favour, when in reality, horses from long breasks don't usually ever hit the heights they hit before.

I think being a funeral undertaker myself has softened me to him a fraction too truth be told.

And I thought watching Penhill & Monalee race 10 lengths clear in the AB up the hill on my first visit to the Cotswolds would be the final nail in Death Duty's coffin for me

We’re not all professional punters in here Rigga!

Celebrating Labaik’s 50/1 Supreme win whilst on the job was one of the more difficult career situations I’ve encountered!
