I know very little about it tbh, but apparently the yard likes its chances....
How reliable can someone be tipping up shots in the Pertemps (think of the joy you'll get re-quoting me this when it pisses up)

      • I was on for my biggest ever win the year Guitar Pete got beat in the Triumph by Tiger Roll. Guitar Pete was the final leg of a 6 fold

Then he went and won at Aintree, ive never liked the horse ever since

He beat Tiger Roll at some stage might but that definitely taking related form too far I gave a lot of regard for the trainer so glad to hear that from stormy

He beat Tiger roll in the Spring Juvenile. I was inexperienced at the time and I should have seen Tiger roll would progress past him as he finished well and had only had the 1 run previous i think.

Anyway, Never liked Guitar Pete since

            • Anyone heard where tout est permis runs? Always thought it would be this race but he has that many entries I don't want to risk it on exchange until I hear something

Tout Est Permis looked like a rejuvenated horse last year after joining Noel Meades yard following a string of disappointing performances after fences with mouse Morris, winning his first 3 starts over fences for the new yard & seeing his chase mark increase to 157 from 128.

Things didn’t go so well in graded company this season over fences & he reverted to hurdles in December of a mark of 122, coming 3 lengths 2nd behind the jam man (getting 6lb), who is now rated 15lb higher than when they met that day & ran well to come 2nd in the William fry at the DRF franking the form.

Tout Est Permis was raised 5lb on the back of that run & finished 4th next time out in the pertemps qualifier at the Leopardstown xmas festival, travelling beautifully throughout the race & staying on well to regain 4th, finishing 4 lengths behind the winner treacysenniscorthy who won the William Fry at the DRF on his next start.

Tout Est Permis also ran in the William fry, where the bare form of his finishing position 10 lengths 4th behind treacysenniscorthy & the jam man wouldn’t look too great, he was given what looked to be a very reserved ride by flannaghan compared to the 3 finishing in front of him, hopefully not wanting to ruin his mark with this race in mind.

He’s been given an extra 7lb by the handicapper on his Irish mark which seems a bit drastic but he wouldn’t of got in off his Irish mark & this should see him near the tail end of the weights; the handicapper also seems to value the form of the William fry & the Leopardstown qualifier, horses finishing in front of him in both races being given a fair few lb higher than their Irish marks (treacyenniscorthy 4lb higher, column of fire 7lb higher, Ronald pump 6lb higher). Even with his inflated mark from the British handicapper he’s still over a stone well in on his chase mark & looks to have been campaigned with this race as the goal this season.

                  • Ive landed on Stoney Mountain here

I cant get away from how he stormed home at Haydock, reminded me of Paisley Park doing the same. God knows why they went chasing, but they quickly reverted back to hurdles and got him qualified whilst Paddy Brennan gave him the easiest of easy rides, I cant recall him going for the whip.

Im sure everyone has seen his Haydock run and win, but if you haven’t i suggest watching

                    • I've just backed A Great View at 20/1 for this.

Was 6th in the race in 2018, went off 12/1 and made a race ending mistake 2 out. Did well to get as close as he did, I think he'd have been very, very close to getting close to Glenloe and Delta Work - it's worth watching back just to see just how bad the mistake was.

He won next time out, and I assume the plan was to go back to the Pertemps in 2019, however he had 1 run then didn't run again all season so I assume had a set back?

This year, softly softly approach, only 10th in a qualifier at Christmas (same race Sire Du Berlais ran in this season too, who came 9th - so a similar plan)

3rd in the last Irish qualifier - comments read: "kept on under mostly hands and heels run-in, never troubled leaders"

They're the same quotes about Relegate who was 4th in the same qualifier and got slashed in the market....

He only got given 2lbs - I think that's well worth a chance

                          • Has he highlighted some that don't get in?

                            Max field of 24?
