  • May Yankee

Have left this later than usual but I spent the majority of the month finishing my dissertation for uni and hence have barely been on here.

    Thoughts please troops..

No theme for this month. Just four winners please

Also.. if anyone has a random theme we can go for for next months after this, it might be worth doing for a June month where we will have no jump racing to base these on.

....perhaps Klassical Dream @ 6-1 in a couple of places for the Stayers.

I know it’s a Cheltenham Yankee but I think we should look at adding Galvin for the grand national while he’s still a big price in one of these especially as its a quiet month.

I like this Idea Kauto, imagine if we had the first 3 winners it would keep this place lively between Cheltenham and Aintree

....an a/r multiple would be of interest but no sign of Hills introducing that as yet.

Classic Getaway declared for the bumper on Tuesday. Providing he'll stay in bumpers next season is it worth getting him onboard for the early price?

Strange to see Classic Getaway out so early, Elliott probably would have gone the same route as his other CP Cheltenham bumper winners

May be heading over hurdles sooner, I’m all for that!

Fact the ground is still pretty soft everywhere to get a bumper run into a national hunt horse could be why? Then send him over obstacles what he was bought for.

With ajas flopping today easysland at 4s-9/2 looks a good bet

His prep could not have gone worse this year and he still finished 2nd

Agree with this FF, do you think it would be better adding him now or waiting until the start of the season? I am in 2 minds with what to do with this one.

It really depends on what connections do with tiger roll

Is he definitely staying in training?

If they announce hes retiring surely easysland immediately halves to 2/1

I wouldn't be including anything at single figure odds this far out. Telmesomethinggirl @ 10/1 for the Mares Hurdle looks a good one.

When you consider how well backed RB and HDB are going to be next year, plus what I imagine will be a repeat of Irish dominance, double figures about a convincing festival winner who travelled strongly LTO before not quite seeing out the trip looks good to me, especially back in the MH.

I'd agree. It's a good month to be looking for a haymaker in the hope that a couple of legs land. Perhaps a mix of Willie, Gordon, Henry, and Nicky novices, as we know statistically they're our best chance of landing winners at bigger prices.
