Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

  • I’m the same Splinter, I very rarely cash out. However I have some tasty looking combos albeit with the odd leg that’s now out of the Fez, eg Malone Road, Gypsy Island etc. They’ve been suspended since the horse was confirmed as out but at some stage a value will have to be assigned to the remaining legs/bets and that’s what I’m keeping an eye out for.

Have a few with AveaKebabs too which have been suspended since the DRF yet he’s still a confirmed runner at this stage i think...

Interesting Splinter. All my AP bets from earlier in the season with Aba in, or any leg questionable, they suspended the cash out. However the singles with the likely race correct, the cash out is very reasonable. Pretty sure they were trying to buy me out of the Latest Exhibition bet, even though the stake was restricted at the time!

Just checked and they have changed things. Cash out now offered on a couple of bets where one leg is dead (Fly Smart) but the others attractive, but it’s not very generous. Anything with Aba is is still suspended. Interesting call that; they must have felt they go the market wrong last autumn, offered too big a price on him but don’t rate his chances now and want to take him on rather than let people cash out in line with algorithm for profit and then increase their exposure on Shishkin or AF. That’s my guess.

Latest Exhibition cash out has reduced strangely.

      • My theory is gone, no significant change.

Just a question ref cash out. A friend of mine who works in the industry said that bookies can/look to monitor a punters propensity to cash out. As such they can limit the offer (reduced v someone with less propensity) or it may be a factor when deciding to restrict accounts.

I have no idea whether this is true or not but worth bearing in mind for those who use this a lot?

          • Looks like BFSB have also gone nrnb on all festival races. Same prices as Paddy's, bit of an odd move?

And all antepost cashout seems to be removed, the same as Paddy Power did when they went NRNB.

Yes correct Saxon, FFS was planning on cashing one today & reinvesting on another for which they've clipped the price in too

                    • Has anyone had any refunds from Sky ?
I've got so many due back, three alone from the bumper (Eric Bloodaxe, Power of Pause and Ballyandy)

I get the championship races where horses weren't declared as there's a supplementary stage they could be re-entered...

Stupid from them really as most would have re bet the money by now and lost it

Or want people to deposit more in the hope they gamble the refund money on top?

I've loads to come back. Should be a nice pot to play with!

That's a good point, swings and roundabouts I suppose.

I use the NRNB returns every year to pay for my multiples on the day and any horses I want to lay off late or add last minute. It feels like bonus money in a weird way.
