  • F.J April Yankee .

    As it's already the 13th , .... and i couldn't see a thread for this...
I'd like to put up A Plus Tard for the Gold Cup , @ 12-1. narrowly beaten this year , i can only see a repeat entry for this race for A.P.T.
I know cheveley park have Envoi , but i don't think i can see A.P.T going back in Trip. Decent Value for a Gold cup Horse i.m.o .

....Run Wild Fred seems popular for the NH Chase & 20-1 is still available.

As Monkfish was put up for the GC in last months Yankee would it not make sense to look at other races rather than doubling up?

Agreed, definitely not this far out anyway, I’ve gone for this.

        honeysuckle - champion hurdle
        sir gerhard - supreme
        kilcruit - ballymore
Run wild fred - NH chase

This is most likely the destination for these horses and you would think all four would go into the race as favourites if everything goes well between now and then.

This far out I doubt having multiple horses in same race is avoidable, at this stage getting the target right is the focus and that means we’re likely to be focussing on a handful of races until Autumn.
For what it’s worth I’m pressing both Monkfish and A Plus Tard as the two most likely Gold Cup winners and will have to get Envoi Allen onside at some point....

Run Wild Fred and My Drogo seem two obvious candidates for this month.

....the news that Hills are opening their TWAR market in the next week might just open a limited opportunity to do a/r Yankee selection. A consideration if allowed.

                        My four would be these:

                        Run Wild Fred - NHC
                        My Drogo - Marsh
                        Energumene - Ryanair
                        Thyme Hill - Stayers
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.
