Bump for this thread until the individual race threads up. Saxon Warrior kindly did this last year with a host of race conditions and trends info, I hope you will repeat that for this season SW ?

Be glad to, I think I may have updated the 2021 Handicaps threads with the winners details, ready to copy and paste forward to 2022.
…I recall this thread might have been kept in the members section for a spell last time around. I certainly have one in mind I’d like to get onboard when the markets form.
Might be consideration to keep this to members for now.

….I think the individual threads (with your trend analysis) were in the open section but early discussion was behind the members wall. I might have that wrong, but there was instances when a positive mention moved a market.
If we highlight any early, it might be worth keeping this general thread hidden for now. Just a thought.

Yes the individual threads have been in the general section.
If people want them in the Members Section, we would need to work out how that worked, as we would have 9 Handicap threads floating around with the Diaries.
Unless a specific Handicaps Section could be set up just like the Diary Section.
Hidden Heroics - Runs Friday for one of the UK's master handicap trainers, Dan Skelton. Closely related to Bacardys, Dan is sending him straight into the Grade 2 Persian War Hurdle over 2m 3 1/2f from his P2P, aged 4, so he's either seriously talented, or it's a decent race to mask an amount of ability because of the level of the race itself.
He's skipped the chance of a bumper or a low key novice/maiden hurdle somewhere to give his horse a seriously tough ask first time up, and feel he was worth noting. He was one from my list of P2P horses to follow. Possible early Martin Pipe contender for the yard if not good enough for a better stamp of race? Will likely need a trip.
Not exactly sure where to put this but semi interested in the profile of Irascible if they send him chasing. Half bro to Kruzhlinin and Kalooki, who've both made reasonably decent trainers. Has ran very decent behind Appreciate It twice, can forgive him the Cheltenham run i just get the feeling he could be a typical Henry improver when chasing.

Yeah, I like his Jack, wouldn't mind a step up in trip I feel. Be interesting to see what their plans are for him this coming season.
Favori de champdou. ? Martin Pipe. Entered up on Friday, a 6yo saddler maker gelding with giggi and gordon. Bumper form looks fairly useful, but off track for 18 months. Not sure why, but was looking out for this one last season. Looks like a fair bit of stamina, and probably a chaser next season. Difficult this far out, I appreciate, but it'll be interesting to see how this one is campaigned. 20/1 TWAR Hills.

Yep, I got him priced up, he was on my list for last season too but he never run. I quite like his profile for the race, have backed the any race already as well
I don't see that there is much to gain by putting handicap thoughts on here so early in the season and before any markets are formed. It's almost like we're marking the bookies cards for them.

Exactly.
It just seems like an exercise in people throwing shit at the moon, hoping some sticks/lands and you can point it out to everyone months later.
"That up there is my shit and I threw it, back in October"
When, from my point of view I'll still remember all the other shit that fell back to earth and landed on these pages.
Got to throw a lot of shit at the moon to hit it from this far away, let me tell you !
I know cos I've tried.
VERY early for handicaps of course, but whatever Gordon plots Saint Felicien for since he wont be a novice hurdler come the festival should be under consideration whenever we know, mostly likely the county hurdle
