Unless there's a global system adopted by all racing authorities there will always be anomalies, it's just a question of who and how quickly the handicapping teams adapt without making things so hard you put overseas challengers off...
Agreed! A global handicap system has to be the way forward.

Would like to see proschema plotted at either the coral cup or the pertemps by the Skeltons

He was a stayer on the flat and simply not fast enough for 2 miles over hurdles

Much better upped in trip and could be even more to come over 2m4f or 3m

Proschema wins again hopefully doesn't go up too much as looks like he will appreciate a step up to 3 miles

....Night Edition came within a smidgeon of beating The Shunter in the Morebattle. Surely it’s being saved for a big one.

            Love the word smidgeon.

Maybe David Pipe has a target of the Greatwood Handicap Hurdle in November at Cheltenham over 2M.

Only rated 135 at present, and only a 5yo.

Hope he's working back from the Coral Cup already

Pipe has amassed a whopping 2 second places in 4 years and can’t see a runner in the Coral Cup amongst any of his runners.

He will end up saving him for a Saturday at Wetherby

                      Or the Martin Pipe again.

Up 5lbs for the 2nd, managable!

Kevloaf certainly wouldn't rule it out, tbh I wouldn't rule out a drop in trip and a run in the county either myself, definitely one to keep an eye on when/if he does re appear in jan/Feb time.

I love Langer Dan’s race profile, but I am not interested in backing him for anything before he is entered to run again, or more likely until after he has ran again.

Embittered, fav for the Grand Annual and travelling easily before departing, finished a good 2nd today. He was also 3rd in the County Hurdle in 2020 so clearly likes Cheltenham in the Spring. He's one I'll be looking out for coming back for unfinished business next year.

He’s one I’m keeping an eye on too. What are his options this year? Another crack at the GA?
