Marie’s Rock has caught my eye. Described by Henderson in his stable tour as extremely talented and miles better than she showed last season. She was never put in the race at Wetherby first time out and stayed on well in the Greatwood on Sunday to finish 7th having been almost last 2 out.

Looks like step up in trip would help and Coral Cup might be a long term target. Might need to go up a couple of lbs to guarantee a run but would be at bottom of weights in a race that Nicky knows how to win (won it with a mare in 2020).

What she did on Sunday was settle much better than she has previously which has been a real problem so far. Now they've got past that I suspect we'll see a much better horse this season, and if so I suspect she's well handicapped.

I think you'll find she'll be aimed at the Betfair Hurdle and then perhaps back for the County Hurdle. Henderson reckons she's a bang two miler which is why they haven't talked about the Mares Hurdle. Either that or they'll try and find some black type somewhere, but I think she'd need a mares only race for that. I think there's one either at Newbury or Cheltenham that would fit the bill, but I can't remember off the top of my head.

Since the Gordon stable tour came out and mentioned Saint Felicien who I'm very high on, I know he didn't specifically mention a target but since he won't be a novice and is coming out of his juvenile season, I really do think he will be his county hurdle horse provided he makes it to the festival on a good mark

Au Fleuron makes his handicap debut and first run tomorrow for Elliott in 1.20 at Navan, race isn't mentioned in the Irish racing planner but looks like it's been downgraded from a grade 2 to a maiden novice hurdle this year.

Ashdale Bob won it last year.

Can see someone's already requested a price for it for the Martin Pipe, quoted at 33s, comments on ATR stable guide are that he's a nice horse but they haven't pushed any big buttons with him yet.

I know, thought it was strange, clicked on the wrong Navan race, realised by the time I was sending the 2nd comment about it, assume someone clocked on its the race Wide Receiver ran in last year and is hoping he goes down the route plenty of us hoped Wide Receiver would go down last year

Cheers, fat fingers clicking on the wrong race, only looked at it being Navan and not the date, I went through Ashdales races on RP, would have made more sense just to have clicked on the Sporting Life race history!
