Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Couldn’t have him at all, sounds like a last grasp at straws that one!

                Wow,

He is 9 rising 10, and going into a competitive Novice Chasing space.

Of course, it’s possible to drop into one or two races early season without anything decent to beat, come December it will be something to watch taking on better horses in England.

But then, Ireland’s horses and March is another thing entirely.

He will still be younger than Faugheen when he made the switch to fences. It could rejuvenate him after his lacklustre showings at the end of last season.

I don’t think we can use Faugheen as a strong reference point for any normal late years novice chase switch, he was a complete one off.
and even he didn’t quite get in front in March.

                    • Next Destination was a 9yo novice chaser this year, though he of course missed a couple of years…

If connections do choose this route I fear they will follow a similar path to horses like If The Cap Fits last season and end next season at a loss with what is best for the horse after he fails and appears to lose his interest in racing. In my opinion they should keep him over hurdles and if they can’t get him to the standard they need for a crack at the Stayers I’d retire him. I don’t see the benefit of sending him chasing at his age, he been a brilliant horse and if he’s reached his ceiling then I’d look after him and call it a day.

Agreed he was a one-off and much loved and much missed. The point being a switch 'can' bring about a change of attitude and relight the fire to win again.

Not yet by the looks of it. Being asked for your username puts me off.
