She looked ok winning the Mares Novice Hurdle over 2 miles. Scintillating performance. Just think 2 1/2 blunts her speed. Too late to go chasing now imo.

That mares novice was a poor race though

Looks like she is just short of top class

I'm hoping that willie keeps ferny hollow over hurdles, he's probably his only shot of having the champion hurdle winner imo

Also what on earth was Paul Nicholls doing with stormy Ireland, shes right back to her usual self back with willie

Not that poor. 2 of this year's Festival winners ran in it. No gelding can give Honeysuckle 7lbs and a beating in my view. He'll need to throw his best Mares at it to have any chance of getting near her.

Looking at b365, Honeysuckle seems like she's been shortened today for the CH and looks like her odds have lengthened for any novice chase (16s for arkle, showing in the Marsh betting but currently unpriced - could have swore I saw her with odds before).

Has something been said by HdB or Kenny Alexander?

            • PP/BFSB pushed Shishkin out to a top price 2/1 and clipped both Energuneme and CPS into 4/1. I think that is a more realistic price for Shishkin as can’t believe they were taking much at his previous odds. I think the other two are a bit on the short side. CPS in particular I think I would want close to double figures as for all his brilliance he just didn’t look like Cheltenham is his course and he is likely going to have at least another 2 serious rivals coming through. Looks a bit of a no go market for me through the summer even with free bets.

I haven't seen anything mentioned, would love to hear them say she is staying over hurdles though.

I would't rule it out yet Rigga, still plenty of time to go. If Energumene comes out and gets beat over 2 miles next season then Willie could send him up in trip. I wouldn't be ripping up those ticket just yet though cash out at this stage is key.

If all fit and well, Townend would still have to make a decision anyway, as Allaho's Ryanair win means he can't be dismissed.

2 rides from Chacun Pour Soi, Allaho and Energumene - if all fit, well and firing.

Removal of a chip. Shouldn't be too long I wouldn't have thought unless complications.

Mrs Somer can remove a chip off my plate in a blink of an eye

                              • Racing Post report from the OLeary camp.

Samcro runs in a Grade 3 on Monday and will aim for the Galway Plate.

“Eddie O’Leary has revealed dual Cheltenham festival hero Samcro will be kept on the go this summer with Monday's meeting at Killarney to be his first port of call.

The Galway Plate is the long-term target for Samcro, who will bid to put disappointing efforts in the Savills and Ryanair Chases behind him when he tackles the Grade 3 An Riocht Chase.

Samcro was found to have a dirty sinus after disappointing at Cheltenham and O’Leary is hoping the horse can put his problems behind him this summer.

"He will stay in training this summer with the Galway Plate being the aim as long as he stays healthy," O'Leary said. "It’s a long road to redemption but it’s all about keeping him healthy.

"If we get a clear run this summer he could go for the Galway Plate but it has been very much stop-start with him lately.

"He will run at Killarney and Galway will be top of the agenda for him after that. He’d probably have a big weight to carry in the Plate but hopefully he gets some sort of a chance.

He was never an unhealthy horse in his early days and it’s all Mickey Mouse stuff that’s hindering him. A bad scope here, a dirty sinus there, he actually pulled up at Cheltenham because he had a dirty sinus. It was a horrendous run but his sinus was absolutely rotten afterwards.

"The good Samcro has as much talent as Don Cossack did but unfortunately it’s becoming harder and harder to keep him right."

Gigginstown will keep a small team of horses on the go this summer, the majority of which will end up at the Doncaster horses-in-training sale later in the year.

However, neither Samcro nor the Joseph O’Brien-trained pair Embittered and Assemble will be heading to the sales and O’Leary is hopeful they have nice summer campaigns.

He said: “Embittered could develop into a nice summer novice over fences while Assemble could be one for the Plate.

"Both horses should be happier on nicer ground. They’re probably the best of what we will keep in training for the summer along with the big lad [Samcro]."

"Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".
