In truth I don't see anything getting near Honeysuckle and will be building a nice book again around her. I'm really surprised that 3/1 is readily available about her even this far out as she looks that far in front of the rest. Obviously anything can happen in racing but if she gets there safe and sound again and in the same form as this year then she'll be untouchable.

She looks obviously short of champion hurdle class to me and I suspect Willie sees this also.
She has less improvement potential than others he has.
shewearsitwell & echoesinrain are interesting.
echoes was one I liked very much for the mares novice this year but she needed to learn to settle.
her last 2 wins were very impressive and running against boys with penalties is also a clue to where Willie thinks she may end up IMO
she may put a proper mark down at punchestown.
I think he may run her in the herald against appreciate it unless he goes for the champion novices over further

Concertista would finish third of three in my opinion. She wants two and half and possibly more. It had crossed my mind that she may be a Stayers Hurdle candicate next season, but I'd imagine they'll come back for redemption.
Echoes In Rain won't want further than two miles at this stage. She looks all over a bang two miler. I wonder whether they may try her in one or two nice flat races this summer instead though. She looks the type that Willie likes to run on the flat.
Shewearsitwell is harder to weigh up. Willie was thought to be aiming her at the Supreme so he obviously thinks highly of her. That being the case the Champion Hurdle may be the route for her. That said she's bred to benefit for a step up in trip, so maybe she will go to the Mares. She'll be seven next Festival though so that'll come into their minds too given they'll want black type. She's the hardest to weight up, particularly coming off an injury lay off.Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

What would they possibly get out of sending Honeysuckle chasing ?
Will be 8 next March and likely to bump into some hot Arkle candidates and knowing Shishkin and possibly Energumene wait in open company it doesn't get any easier, all for a mare who could easily throw the towel in at any point - and before the fanclub members jump on this the comment relates to mares in general not Honeysuckle specifically.
Or do people think she'll be aimed at the Mares Chase as many believed that would be the season target for PTKO ?
Very tongue in cheek question that by the way...

Why give up on GBP 300K+ winning through the season in Grade 1 2M hurdles with modest fields and opposition, if your the champion?
You only step up to fences when someone better comes along.Last edited by Saxon Warrior; 5 April 2021, 08:17 PM."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

Saxon comments - she could be star in waiting, based on Timeforms ratings, add on her 7lb allowance and she’s mixing it with Bob Olinger and Appreciate It on her weekend win
Echoes In Rain Timeform Update
Tony McFadden outlines the major changes to the Timeform ratings following the weekend's action.
Willie Mullins failed to win the Mares' Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival for the first time since its inception in 2016, but it turns out he'd left his best candidate at home in her box!
Mullins was concerned that the buzzy Echoes In Rain (151p from 138p) would boil over and ruin her chance if he took her to Cheltenham, so he elected to take the patient approach, instead running her in a Grade 2 novice hurdle at Fairyhouse on Sunday.
The hooded Echoes In Rain took time to settle under more patient tactics, but she was always travelling powerfully and the eye was drawn to her stalking the leaders on the approach to the straight. She had to wait for a gap but scythed through horses to lead between the final two flights and quickly pulled clear, extending the advantage to 15 lengths at the line.
It was an extraordinary performance, made even more meritorious given the steady early pace, and she is certainly up to winning a Grade 1. For context, Telmesomethinggirl achieved a rating of 140 for her impressive victory in the Mares' Novices' Hurdle, while the leader in the novice division is Echoes In Rain's stablemate Appreciate It, who earned a rating of 160p for his wide-margin success in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle.
Echoes In Rain, a recruit from the Flat in France, is clearly blessed with plenty of speed, so it will be interesting to see whether she is aimed at the Champion Hurdle next season, or if Mullins feels she can be as effective over the two and a half miles of the Mares' Hurdle.
