If Allaho blitzed them over 2 miles at Punchestown then I think the Champion Chase will become his next season target. Have a feeling Envoi will end up in the Ryanair next year with APT trying again in the GC. Anything could happen though and I could get all 3 wrong. Very intriguing though.

An injury was never openly indicated by WPM Spectre! Maybe Willie thought he had the division covered with Concertista this year & wanted to give BV a year to mature! She had about as much scope as a grand piano as a juvenile so cant have her as a chaser in the making, if i see a Punchestown entry I'll get her onboard, last years Triumph form has worked out reasonably well this season!

Was hoping for a little more juice than the 20/1 that was quoted as she was the same price for this year’s renewal of my memory serves me correctly.

Personally I'd love to see willie give him a go in the King George like he did with vautour

If he's going to get 3 miles anywhere it'll be there

I'd forgotten Vautour ran in a King George. Is my memory playing tricks on me or am I right in thinking it's rare for the top Irish horses to come over to Kempton on Boxing Day?

I'm kind of hoping they swerve it again this year as I've bet Chantry House a few times for it already......

The last one was Footpad but he had been out of sorts for a year by that point.

Gordon will be back next year so I doubt Willie will send anyone over who you would consider a 1st or 2nd string.

if APT comes for the betfair Chase I’d say he would be the best chance if he wins there and they go for the bonus

So much good racing in Ireland over Christmas they don't need to head here for top prizes, and let's face it pots are generally higher in Ireland anyway...

Monalee didn’t come over due to the COVID restrictions, no Irish horses did.

At the risk of stating the obvious given my username, I’m in full agreement with this FF! Cue Card was heroic that day. The noise when they went down the straight on the first circuit was unreal without getting started on that finish. Hopefully we can get the crowds back in as soon as possible.

I was on vautour and was already spending my winnings ! some atmosphere though and some race to.

I do think this Festivals NHC was one of the strongest for a long time and could see Galvin, Escaria Ten and possibly Next Destination progressing to Grade 1 level again season and being Gold Cups contenders. Age is possibly against Next Destination but all three travelled well and finished strongly given the distance.

Looked the winner from pillar to post almost in fairness to you didn’t he. How Cue Card reeled him in from the last I’ll never know. Some race indeed - those are the moments that make the sport for me.
