Really needs to tidy up the jumping as I do think he has all the other ingredients to be half decent. I was very disappointed with Annie G too.

Yeah I don't think her form is that special. She's just been mopping up in the summer in easy races. She was well beaten in her first three races then came close to Gyspy Island who had been off the track for a while so wasn't match fit plus may have lost a bit of her talent after the injury. I think Annie G will struggle against the better mares over the winter

Pretty much sums up my thoughts. I did was the massively unfit (at the time) Gypsy Island to get another boost to the form and that's the only thing I wanted from Annie G today.

        • A couple of Gordon Elliott novice hurdlers entered in the Persian War, maybe with one eye to get a mark.

I A Connect and Off Your Rocco

Otherwise there are plenty of novices who aren’t novices for much longer in the race.
Nicholls has a couple in the race including new recruit Dargiannini from Henry Whittingham who has a record of 3 wins from 4 races and Paso Doble

            • The penny seemed to drop for The Bomber Liston finally yesterday - he'll be one I'll be keeping an eye on, particularly when going up towards 3 miles.

This boy could be very interesting indeed. Unbeaten so could be anything.

He sent Bravemansgame for the same race last year.

What makes you think that out of interest? I'd be absolutely gobsmacked if he was a Supreme horse, looks between a Ballymore or AB type to me with preference for the latter on runs/style thus far.

I agree here, certainly doesn't seem supreme with even Henry acknowledging last season that he probably doesn't have the same gars as someone like Bob, and being a galloping type. Which all evidence on his previous runs seem to point to aswell.

                            That's a bold move

I'd say he's got 3m chaser written all over him personally, so Ballymore/Bartlett.

Just my Personal opinion, I thought the same that he’s a 3 mile galloper, but changed my mind. Will wait for update and entry, but don’t think he’s a boat, he Defo has some pace. BALLYMORE more Likely then supreme

                              • It's a bit of a cliche but my thought process is that generally pace wins the supreme, gears win the Ballymore. So the fact Henry doesn't think JWM has got gears is a concern for me having backed him. The Supreme tends to be an end to end gallop (similar to an Arkle which is why horses do well the next year) while the Ballymore tends to be run slower early with horses quickening in the final stages. Of course each renewal has different pace angles but I tend to use that as my general starting point when trying to pigeon hole horses this early in their career!
