Just a note Fameafterglory runs 7:30 Ballinrobe. Could give Grand Jury a nice boost if he wins. 50s and 40s still widely available on GJ but that likely to be gone if Fameafterglory wins.

I have her for next yrs mares but i wonder if they'd consider stepping her up even more towards the stayers?

Obviously a lot can change in a year, but they have already mentioned the Mares Hurdle as a target for next season.

“We'd be hoping to go for the two-and-a-half mile mares race at Cheltenham next year.

“We went for the two mile this year and we knew going over that the trip was too short for her. We said we'd give her a chance and in fairness she ran a cracker, the further they were going the better she was running.

“I'd like to think, with everything staying sound, we'd get back to Cheltenham next March.”

If she runs well against the best Mares at Punchestown then she'll go Mares Hurdle as I can see that cutting up again with a couple of the better Mares going to the Champion Hurdle.
Personally don't see her being good enough though.

Bob Olingers half sister makes her debut tomorrow for Willie in a bumper. Never Feel Blue

Currently 25/1 best price for the Mares Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham

Patrick on Never Feel Blue: "I couldn't pull her up - I pulled up a furlong past everyone else. I hope she's a black-type mare."

was 2m 4f yesterday , not sure the mares 2m novice race at the Festival will be far enough , she was doing all her best work at the end , very nice prospect all the same

very much doubt Willie would send a mare to the AB race , mares are 0 wins from 11 runners , she might pick up prizes around Ireland next season as a novice, then if she is still on the go, try the mares hurdle 2023 over 2m4f , we'll see

Yeah true. He rarely sends his Mares anywhere bar Mares races. Creature of habit.

She didn't jump out as an obvious festival candidate, just a nice looking horse who ran with plenty of promise and has an interesting pedigree, one just worth taking note of at this point. She was 25s with Sky for the MNH before the race and B365 added her at 25s after the race, which is fair enough.

Willie has form of running horses over what we would describe the "wrong trip" he himself has admitted he will run a horse in any race from 2 to 3 miles , if the horse is good enough they'll run well , just because she appeared to enjoy the trip doesn't mean she can't go 2m , they and i had Appreciate It down for the AB this time last year , Supreme winner ,

wait and see i think , at 25/1 its big enough to hold on to for a few quid

Half sister, Myska, had her first hurdle race over 2m6f but was an intended runner in the Mares Novice before having a setback.

Kilbeggan isn't a demanding track. Airlie Beach's bumper was 2m4f there as were her early hurdle races. She won a G1 at 2 miles and went off second favourite for the Mares Novice.
