After looking through his Arkle, marsh and rsa runners over the past 10 years I’m calling bullshit on the above statement. Apart from Sizing John in 2016 there wasn’t any horse that you could make much of a case for that should have ran in the marsh.

You think this one may end up in the Champion Hurdle instead? Give Honeysuckle something to think about.

Agree. He hasn’t purposely avoided the race at all. He’s just not had anything for the Marsh.

Bob Olinger will nearly 100% go Marsh currently unless something happens to other horses like Appreciate It, Quilixios etc.

Henry will have Quilixios in Arkle so will avoid that for the other two. Then Robcour will have Gentlemansgame in the BANC so he will go Marsh.

BANC is the least likely of the three as HDB goes on about how much speed he has. Speed horses don’t go BANC. Plus the classy horses always go Marsh now. Vautour, Yorkhill, Samcro, Envoi. All seen as classy GC potential horses of the future as novices

              Christ that is short!

I’d say he’s more likely than not to be over fences and the Marsh would be the obvious race

I don’t know why Henry would be too concerned about what Quilxios best trip is when it comes to Bob O.

Bob is a mile better and when is the last time a triumph hurdler did anything as a 5 year old at the festival? It’s nearly a decade since Countrywide Flame placed in the CH.

I know you know from the way you phrased that but Espoir D'Allen didnt run in Triumph and did win CH as a five year old.

On the otherhand Gaultstats wouldnt have you running to back a five year old http://www.gaultstats.com/3-05-unibet-champion-hdle even if I have backed Zanahiyr already

.....SheWearsitWell halved in price with Hills for the Mares Hurdle (16-1 into 8-1) might be worth getting onboard whilst 14s still readily available.

Adding to Eggs’ point, Shewearsitwell 18’s Available with boost on Ladbrokes. 16’s normally for Mares hurdle

                          1. Shewearsitwell is a 6yo leased mare who missed the last Festival through injury. She has already got black type and the minute that Willie thinks she has achieved her peak and/or she needs treatment that costs more than the lessees or the breeder are prepared to pay, she will be off to the breeding sheds in an instant. I have experience of this with Myska and I'd recommend the longest possible barge-pole for a 2022 yankee this far out.

                          2. Without wishing to disturb raw wounds, my main objection to the Shishkin/Envoi Allen/Monkfish multiples this year was based on my fudge factor which includes extra jeopardy for novice chasers. With an absolutely confirmed target, in my view they are ok as singles but not really for multiples and certainly not more than one in a multiple as the jeopardy, and therefore the value, goes the wrong way rapidly. If you're discussing any horse's target it's a big negative until NRNB.

You talk a lot of sense. Personally, I would stay clear of any horse that has missed the festival through injury or a setback this far out - certainly at least until it has made the track again/or looks like taking up an entry.

Guessing the targets for novices is also a risky game - there will be plenty of time throughout the year to still bag a squeak of value with more clarification on it’s aim and although these are a bit of fun - there’s more chance of some winnings if we are least likely to get a run.

Another one to add to the suggestions is PTKO for the CC repeat - available at around 10/1 - won’t go any other race if fit and we’ll. Obviously loves Cheltenham. Yes she will likely face Shishkin and possibly Allaho but she battled on well up the hill and is proved in open company at the track/trip.

Been looking througj various fields for anything of value and i keep coming back to al boum photo 25s gold cup. I think its a terrific price, imo the good to soft good in places inconvenienced him more then the front 2 and with a normal festival softer ground imo he"s better than them both. Turning 10 wouldn't worry me as he would be lightly raced again and i acknowledge the poss of monky and Ea being there would make a 3rd cup harder but they still have yet to prove they are better than Abp..

Ptko and al boum photo have surely had their day and won their festival races now. In with the new, out with the old
