I'm most excited about Galvin. I put him in some long term multiples and he's the last leg of a few of them. If he wins, I'll be free rolling for the rest of the week.
Hopefully Spectre can go down in FJF folklore and land the punt in the Ultima.
One winner tomorrow would be an improvement in last year though, so I'm not asking for much
Looking forward most to my Honeysuckle / Concertista double. Not my biggest winner of the week, but definitely one that will give me a sense of pride knowing I was one step ahead of the bookies
I had 6 winners last year on day one and I think it'll be hard to match/beat that. I've fallen onto every favourite other than the 4 miler so that's a bit of a concern as they just never all go in.
Honeysuckle is probably my favourite horse right now so if she goes in that would be great. Appreciate It and Shishkin are the important ones for the overall week though so hopefully they get us off to a great start.
Buzzing for the Champion Hurdle. Last year's was weak - this year's looks the polar opposite!
Best bets at current the prices (bold denotes bets I've actually done - covered others in a few small acca's):
Blue Lord @ 9/1 EW - I just think the Irish are way ahead of the English, and I expect him to hit the frame Franco De Port @ 11/4 W/O Shishkin - I don't think Allmankind is suited by Cheltenham and I can see FDP picking up the pieces of a frantic pace
Milan Native @ 9/1 EW 7 places - cheltenham form and market support alone makes this a sensible bet Saldier @ 66/1 EW 5 places - With 5 places this multiple grade 1 winner has to go backed each way Concertista @ 5/4 - I just think she wins on the snaff, easily Sage Advice @ 16/1 EW 6 places - one of the best handicapped horses in the race
Remastered @ 8/1 EW - I liked his run LTO at Ascot and I think the step up will suit.
I am on:
Appreciate It
Ballyadam
For Pleasure
Shishkin to win by 5L+
Happygolucky
Honeysuckle
Saldier
Concertista
Black Tears to place
Houx Gris
Coltor
Sage Advice
Homme Public
Galvin
It's the same answer to all three questions for me, and there's no prizes for guessing which one.
Shishkin and Epatante/Honeysuckle are the biggest potential future winner for my Festival though, so lots to look forward to.
I can't wait for the Supreme to kick it all off. Despite everything I do antepost, I love the thrill and the buzz of the Festival itself, and the racing is the highlight, and all the antepost stuff I do is a distant second.
The very best of luck to everyone. Here's hoping we all have an enjoyable and succesful Festival.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.
First two races don't hold too much interest for me. Hopefully we will see a great display by Shishkin, but I'll end up disappointed Energumene hasn't turned up.
Looking forward to the Ultima to hopefully see HGL sluice up. Got on early and a win for him would see most of my betting outlay for the festival returned after 3 races.
Champ hurdle will be epic. Only got Sharjah in it e/w, with Honeysuckle in some multiples. Just want to watch and enjoy.
Hoping for a big run from Minella Melody in the Mares. I think she's a crazy price in the w/o Concertista and w/o Concertista and Roksana markets. If she takes to Cheltenham better than last year, she should be much shorter.
Boodles will be a great race and it makes sense to have it on the same day as the Supreme and CH.
NH Chase will be the race of the day for me. Looks a deeper field than usual to me.
Does anyone review finishing times of races? Will the finishing time of the supreme sway your view of the Champion Hurdle if the time tells a different story of the ground?
Email from ATR saying i have 26 runners out on Tuesday. Thats singles doubles and multis. Will go though these in the morning and sort out the cashed/non runners so i know where i stand. (And i bet i will be up early like a child on Xmas day)

I'll be using it over the first half mile to see just how quickly they go in the Boodles. I think there could be some in play options available if they go too quickly, which I think they will do.
What are you most excited about? The Supreme. Not because I think it's a great race (it might be, but not quality wise), but because I get so ridiculously giddy for it regardless. It's the start of what we've spent an entire year thinking about, I love it, even though I never pick the winner. Aside from that, the Champion Hurdle is a superb renewal, can't wait.
What are your best bets at the current prices? Happygolucky, thanks to Spectre, whatever happens it's been fun and all who got on at the time are now able to trade for a nice position.
Who are you on? Just about everything in the Supreme either through anteposts or covering with the multitude of free bets on offer On all sorts, but the big winners would be Happygolucky, Glorious Zoff and Ballyadam, with Shishkin and Epatante wins setting up some nice doubles/trebles for the rest of the week.
Can't wait. My dream results tomorrow would be Appreciate It & Honeysuckle. Concertista & Shishkin would make it almost perfect. I was rambling on about the ground drying out in the CH thread earlier and was completely unaware that it'd rained overnight, so now I'm actually feeling a bit more optimistic.
Will be bricking it when the Supreme starts though.
