Yup Hills have cut most of the main players across all races... some horrible prices 11 months in advance! 7/2 sir gerhard, 7/2 Bob Olinger, 3/1 appreciate it, 3/1 monkfish, 4/1 kilcruit... you’d think it was November and theyve just won a maiden!

    • Thought they were going nrnb for a second, disgusting this far out. Just a blanket cut.

Not just the main players wither, Pure Genius cut from 66/1 to 33/1 just this afternoon. Must have been my 0.25pt double...

          • Wow Pure genius 33/1 ? I got 118/1 boosted 4 days ago ?? Can’t have been that much volume of bets placed on him surely ?

            • Looks like the bookies are monitoring the forum now...

              • Need the Cheltenham forum sign up only maybe and let the Flat or NH section as viewing only? Getting silly now the prices being cut.

                • They mustve got stung on early ante post bets last year and have decided they have no real interest in laying any this year

you can still get 50/1 with B365 and the cash out option if needed

                    • I see Big Changes has been added to the Bumper @100/1. Probably be down to 20/1 by tomorrow.

Yeh, I'd say that's bang on. Those at the head of the market are all a good few points shorter than they would have been this time last year.

                        • Just horrendous prices now. Any value on big guns, if there even was any, has pretty much gone fully a year out. End of AP betting as we know it. Just glad we made the most of it this year. The industry must be in some mess !!

                          • With these ridiculous prices they are basically saying they don't want any antepost bets on Cheltenham.

                            • I certainly won't be placing any

Last year there were 6 or 7 horses i really liked

They all had very high levels of festival form and all had a fairly obvious destination (envoi, shiskin, monkfish, thyme hill, allaho, minella indo and appreciate it)

The only destination that ended up being wrong was AI who I was on for the ballymore and obviously Thyme Hill got injured

All of them bar envoi and shiskin were 10/1 or higher

This year their equivalents are half the price id like to take this far out

The horses at bigger prices im sure there is value somewhere but generally they either need to prove they are good enough or there are several races they could run in so I have no interest in backing them 11 months out

I'd just end up wasting a load of points on non runners and no hopers

Iv backed dusart and had a few doubles on appreciate it (arkle) kilcruit (ballymore) sir gerhard (supreme) allaho (ryanair) Big Bob (marsh) and honeysuckle (champion) with money left over after withdrawals that I would've only wasted on the Martin pipe or something

That'll just have to do me, though I guess we will get chances to get a few win today and Cheltenham 2022 bets on at Aintree and Punchestown

That may be the way to eke a bit of value though I doubt it

...looking like Jonbon runs on Saturday, I’d like to see what’s offered on that in ‘win today & a/r’.
