8/1 I’d struggle to get massively excited about, that’s what price Monkfish was for the Browns 3m this time last year, granted limited opposition but you still have the whole health, fitness, form and potential travel issues for your 8/1.
Might be OK for some, I’ll wait...

.....looked through the markets to see if there was much in the way of stand out prices with particular firm(s):
12-1 Kilcruit for Supreme (edit: now been cut with PP, BFair & BFred)
Ballyadam 33-1 Arkle with Hills (as low as 16 elsewhere)
Sir Gerhard 10-1 Ballymore (as low as 5-1 Sky)
Journey with Me 20-1 Ballymore 365
Bravemansgame 20-1 & Bob Olinger 20-1 RSA with PP
Galopin des Champs 25-1 Marsh with Hills (only 12-1 PP)

Tony Mullins specifically mentored the Ballymore in a preview for Kilcruit
Ballyadam's jumping isn't good and Ferny likely CPS first Arkle string
Sir Gerhard looks nailed on to be campaigned down the supreme route

BO is not going RSA he's going the Marsh and Galopin Des Champs won a 0-145 handicap and is not going to win a Cheltenham novice chase

You can say you don't think it will happen, but the history books prove that it can. Don Poli won a 0-145 handicap then went on to win an RSA. Champ finished second in a Ballymore and went on to win an RSA.

....an interesting point, actually. Bob Olinger @ 33-1 went into my portfolio in mid-April, perhaps that’s a good benchmark.Last edited by Eggs; 22 March 2021, 04:23 PM.
