Going to have to go with my festival nap here.

The Bosses Oscar Pertemps - only qualified runner for Elliott who was won the last 3 renewals. He knows how to win this race and being the only qualified runner imo shows the confidence he has with TBO. Likely 7lbs claimer will be used which will negate all but 1lbs of his 8lbs rise. Been the plan all season which has not been hidden.

With the drying conditions I think Not Too Fuisse is a great shout, he needs good ground and should get it by the look of it, still 25/1

            Horse - Run Wild Fred.

            Race - Kim Muir.

Reason - On all known form, recent form and collateral form he’s a minimum of half a stone well in. Will go off much shorter and is still a very solid price NRNB. A handicap good thing.

Zanza in the Grand Annual @ 12/1.

I am super confident on this one and he'd be my handicap nap of the week.

In terms of his mark, I think 145 is a bit of a gift. He was travelling all over Ibleo at Cheltenham LTO before falling, and was carry 8lbs more that day. Ibleo is now rated 154. He'll carry 10-9 which is a lovely low weight and I'd be surprised if any of the 20 horses set to carry more are better handicapped. Zanza is a low 150's horse running off 145, which is exactly what you want.

Setting aside the low weight, visual impression and progressive profile, Zanza ticks so many key race trends - http://www.gaultstats.com/4-15-grand-annual-h-cap-chase

The only negative is fell last time out. It was more of a buckling on landing, but an F is an F. It was valuable course experience on the new course though, and I think Richard Johnson is the perfect jockey for this horse.

The ground will likely be in his favour too, and I expect him to run a massive race.

His price has tumbled, but I think 12/1 is still very very fair. If he were trained by a bigger stable I am convinced he'd be single figures, and continue to shorten. Hobbs has targetted this race with Zanza and it just screams a decent bet to me.

I really like the look and form of Busselton in the Boodles. I still think he’s 9/1 and can’t see Q and Zaniphyr running in the Boodles so will be shorter on the day in a race he has an excellent chance of winning and definitely placing in

Pinson du Rheu in the Ultima.

                          Proper plot.

Aye Right in the Ultima - not ran a bad race all season and form stacks up well against Cloth Cap. Runners from the Ladbrokes Trophy generally go well in this race and there aren’t many returning from last years race either.
