Good luck with this one BoF.
If you're able to can you confirm plans/thoughts/dreams ?
Also, be great to get an update on Bay of Freedom who I hope is happy in a field somewhere...

Ah that's rotten news. Anyway better to find that out before he races.

      • Is willie looking for an easier bumper to win for PoP and Ferny?

Ferny Hollow entered in bumper at Thurles next Thursday https://status.hri-ras.ie/entries/Mi...20200130010455

            • Makes sense for Ferny Hollow, sure they’d love to win one so why not find an easier race. Hopefully do the same for Power of Pause but time is ticking

Looks like a Maiden Bumper, no winners to beat, so could be long odds on.

                • I really like Lieutenant Command for the Grade 2 bumper at Leopardstown on Saturday. He looked impressive to me in the race he won at Limerick over Christmas - worth a view for anybody who has access. Meade (surprisingly?) has a good record in Bumpers.
Last 5 years 275 runners 61 winners 22% and if you add the placed it comes to more than 50%

The 2nd at Limerick was Getabay 7/4 ridden by Codd (GE) who gave him a hard ride to try and win but who had no answer to the winner who cruised up at the furlong pole and won by 9l under hands and heels. Getabay had a previous run when showed promise first time @ 66/1 under a 7lb claimer, not run since.

The 3rd Mr Lingo 6/1 on his first start since winning a ptp was beaten 11 1/2l.He has run since 3rd btn 16l (weakened) behind Coolbane Boy in a 2 1/2ml bumper. POP in 2nd finished 13l ahead of him.

Form seems ok but it is the visual that gets me

                  • Very strong support for Appreciate It tomorrow in the bumper. Smashed into favourite 3/1 into 7/4 with paddy power

                    • I’ve had a sneak for Eric Bloodaxe since his debut and if he were to win tomorrow I think his price will bomb, of course the same can be said of others.
I’ve had some 10/1 and a bigger play 8/1 NRNB...

I think 8/1 NRNB is potentially an absolute steal as well.

If he doesn't win over the weekend there is just absolutely no way he rocks up is there?

Nothing is ever 100%, but I'd be absolutely flabbergasted if Eric Bloodaxe was BEATEN over the Weekend AND then went to Cheltenham.

If he wins this weekend, he's probably still unlikely to go, but his SP will not be 8/1.

Impossible I won't have backed this by the timee anybody reads it

You got proper access to Sky back ?
I did all these bets the day they went NRNB.

Not allowed in the Sly Bet Club, but can get decent returns again now on one of them that I hadn't used for a while.

I don't care too much about the bumper but if he does win, he's got exceptionally strong looking form for it?

                            • I know the O'Leary's are stubborn clever twats, but they aren't daft either.
There stance on the Bumper was a mardy arsed one in the first instance and without any real logic, other than they hate the race.

I think they may relax their stance even more this year, given the form of the race from last year, and the fact they're winding down operations anyway.
They seem to definitely want to give Lisa O'Neil a ride, and it's possible they'll let Joseph have a go too, especially if he gets the winner tomorrow.

But then again, they might not.

                              • Apparently O'Leary was not dismissive on one of the Racing Post video cast things, On The Wire.

                                I haven't listened but I am reliably informed it's Episode 10, 20 mins in

                                I should listen really
