To my eye Uhtred is by far the best bumper horse this year, but can’t run at Cheltenham in the Bumper, having done a ‘Gypsy Island’. I’m sure there’s more to come out, but naturally the Irish DRF bumper would be the key race for Cheltenham now and for many years to come.

Its a good point, we are too quick to judge young horses who are learning. Hes clearly up there on talent just needs to learn his job. Thought Mick Pastor was brilliant today (in "moderate" company), but it took a mistake for him to learn what it was all about. After he hit the hurdle he worked out what he was supposed to do and was great from then on.

Has anything been said about him being aimed at the Champion Bumper?

Although Im on Ferny Hollow like so many on here at sexy prices ,and he will give a great account of himself.
I keep looking at Eric Bloodaxe and convinced if he goes he will take all the beating.
OLeary obvious reservations lowered hopefully after Abracadabra ran so well last season and pushed on this season becoming anti post fav for supreme. If Eric gets the green light i will be backing him.
