PP have cut Ferny Hollow into 20's which is good to see. I've topped up at 25's again with the cashout.

I'm now on a horse in the bumper.

An absolute sheep bet, but a cut from PP, positive mention from Willie along with the target being the one EA and Getabird won is too much for me to resist.

Apologies in advance as this now cannot win.

Outside of the big PtP recruits, I also mentioned this one a few weeks back. Alan King stable tour update from tonight.

        Heart Of A Lion
        4g Yeats - Lady Secret
        JP McManus
        1
        RPR 108b

I hope he’s good. He’s not really a summer jumper but having suffered a setback last winter I was desperate to get a run into him before turning him away. So we took him to Southwell for a bumper and he bolted up from a pair of subsequent winners. Having done his pre-training at AP’s he only been back here a few weeks and won’t be out until around Christmas. We’ll stick to bumpers this season.

Trainer Gordon Elliott said on Monday: "Unfortunately Malone Road has a problem with the same knee he chipped last season. He's a very good horse and we were hoping to run him in novice hurdles but that won't be happening this season."

If you read this properly, you could argue that the bumper wouldn't be out of the question.
They'll want a return on their investment.
you could see why they'd not want to start him hurdling in Feb/March.
But a bumper or two ???

Wouldn’t hold much hope of that
Sounded fairly definite the weekend when Gary O brien asked ‘he’s gone for the season is he?’ To which Gordon replies ‘Yeah he’s gone for the season again so that’s unfortunate’

Not going to happen. Too good a horse. Long rest and bring him back next year.

                That’s settled that.

                  Assistant trainer Lobos!

You'd have to wonder what version of Malone Road we'll ever get to see, proper shame.

Yeah it is. It is surely odds against him ever quite fulfilling his potential now.

Asterion Forlonge declared for the Bumper tomorrow. Another talking horse from last season. Seeing how the owners have The Big Getaway and Tactical Move that's three highly promising bumper horses who could all go novice hurdling, but you'd have to fancy one might be kept back for Bumpers?

"He had an injury last year and I'd imagine he'll go straight over hurdles now. He'll be a staying horse over hurdles and fences," - Patrick Mullins after winning on Asterion Forlonge @thurlesraces

Sure the owners might keep one of their three back... Looks like Tactical Move will be their one for this race now.

Not that it particularly matters, but does anyone know who owns power of pause?

I tried to find that out a while ago but drew a blank. All I found was Mullins / Kirk were the purchasers.
