Had a watch of his races today and not convinced he'll quite stay the bartlett trip as well as some others.
I'd have preferred him to pick up again after the last hurdle mistake, but once he got back galloping he didn't find much and they were closing fast, after being last off the bridle I'd have expected him to have more left, even after the mistake.

However, it could be deceiving and he may have been hurt or winded for all I know.
He was one I was going to cover before Dublin, but not gonna bother.

I'll Have to cope with it if he wins easily on saturday.

not surprising really after such a break.
Hopefully he is fit and well as his form took another boost again just now with opposites attract winning again.
That's three in behind all winning a couple of races since.
They can't all have ran below form you'd think. Looks more solid all the time.

Are entries in this week for the novice hurdles ??
Getting an overwhelming sense of him being a 'next year' horse though.

Like Disko was as a novice hurdler?

At least he’s a guaranteed stayer!
Nope definitely not the only one, on at 33’s as well and think he has a good chance given his experience. Seems to be in good form with himself this season as well, dispatched champagne well easily enough

          • Really undecided with what to do about diol ker, having backing him at 33’s, only small stakes and with the entries due tomorrow...not sure whether to cash him and go NRNB at half the price or hope he gets an entry and see where we go from there....

              Trust your initial judgement. IMO
I don’t have the luxury of cash-out, but sometimes I’m glad that I don’t have the extra decision to make.

Hopefully with a field that side we can have no hard-luck stories in-running and see who goes onto Cheltenham with a strong chance in the Ballymore and/or the Bartlett. Maybe one or two also move towards the handicaps after this.

Will join you in that prayer. I am at the Leicester v Chelsea game when the racing is on, so I wont catch the replays and results until later. My mates aren't big racing fans (apart from one), so I am hoping to do a 'Likely Lads' and avoid seeing the results until I can watch the replays when I get back home at 7pm.

Ballymore or nothing for him. Happy enough that he is entered though, given HF's thoughts previously.
