Very wise. Kind words but I'm being praised like he's won the thing . It's easily the hardest of the 3 novice hurdles ante post and even if LE emerges as the main Irish challenge, their record in the AB is abysmal.
The Big Breakaway was impressive there and hit the line hard. Difficult to know where they will go from there. Worth noting n the last 5 years the Tizzard's have sent 2 to the Ballymore and 7 to the Albert Bartlett, including Elegant Escape & Native River who both raced over 2m4f at Newbury in December before going on to this race. Probably irrelevant in the grand scheme of things but thought worth noting nonetheless as they will know doubt view TBB as a big chaser in time

It is certainly all up in the air still. One thing I would say though is that Native River and Elegant Escape do not travel like The Big Breakaway does.
The Big Breakaway is shorter for the AB than Ballymore. I took the 12/1 TWAR with Skybet before today’s race but regret not backing TBB when he was 25/1 TWAR at the start of November. Well done to all who got on him at a big price

Haha yes, that’s definitely true! I am glad I covered any race

Hes shorter for the ballymore with the real bookmakers.
I'm confident enough to have backed him for the ballymore only. It's the only race I see him in. But you never know I suppose.

If The Big Breakaway goes to Trials Day next, as trainer suggested post-race then that’s the 2M4F Ballymore Trial that Birchdale won when Brewinupastorm fell at the last when upsides.
Hendo was annoyed that he went for Bartlett with the winner but many do after the Trials Day Ballymore race.
Yanworth was one exception, winning on Trials Day then going to the Ballymore (not much bigger than evens fav) and finishing 2nd.
If TBB wins over the track and trip well in January then I would say that he would stick with the Ballymore. Particularly if Envoi Allen has scared away most of the opposition. Could be ten or less runners, compared with a maximum field of 20-odd in the Bartlett.
If TBB is as good as they think, he goes Ballymore.
The AB is a horse killer of a race. Brutal for novices and usually won by a journeyman novice with lots of experience.
If they see him as long term grade 1 beast, give him a crack at the Ballymore and then go RSA next year. Who knows, we might see a lovely 5 yr duel develop between him and EA!
Horse killer race my arse.
Load of bollocks.
Just a hackneyed cliche being trotted out.
drives me mad hearing people in racing coming out with crap, never mind on here.
And I don't care if it's your opinion. It's still wrong.
Since 2005 when the race was introduced.
The winner of the race has gone on to win more grade ones at the festival in open company than the Ballymore. I'll go through other runners in the two races when I have the time. But Paisley Park springs to mind straightaway.

Bob's Worth, Penhill.
vs
Faugheen
with respect.
Each horse is different Q- i doubt TBB is a hardened sort that they would want to expose to that race. There's a reason why a lot of the winners have run quite a few races and are experienced.
