Hello Fat Jockeys,

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

Not seen anything concrete but Harry Fry was very downbeat on him after he got beat last time and said he might not come to the festival at all.

Don't know if that's been confirmed though

Have to say I was a bit dejected after his post race comments if I’m honest.

I know he rates the horse very highly, happy with the post race analysis but just to through the toys out the pram seemed a bit much to me.

Thought he ran very well and had SB seen the Tizzard horse getting a run on him would have surely kicked a lot earlier after crushing up off the bend.

Yeah, I've resigned myself to the fact he won't be turning up.

interesting that King Roland was taken out of the betting by alot of bookies yesterday and today is out for the season with a pelvic injury

Obviously was unlikely to be going after LTO but still..

          • Well least it explains his disappointment, looked like he was running on again with that injury is impressive in itself. Hopefully not done himself any more damage.

Definitely be backing him in a novice chase campaign!

Never ceases to amaze. The psychic qualities of bookmakers.

              • The Big Breakaway must be over his knock as he’s entered up at Ascot (2m3f) and Haydock (3m) on Saturday. I’m glad they’ll be able to get another run into him.

Another run....think that'll mean he's more likely to go UP in trip to the Bartlett?

Then again, I doubt they've planned it.... suppose the actual trip he does run at and result are more key indicators.

Only three career starts (two this season) and skipped his bumper season is not the normal path to the Albert Bartlett. However, throw in the Tizzard factor and I’m still not sure where he’ll end up. For me, the fact he’s running is the main thing as at least the slight knock was definitely nothing serious.

Yeah I think you're right. As I was writing it I was going off the idea myself. It's because that's what I'd backed him for so was looking for some confirmation bias, but it isn't there.

Dickie Diver showing up last year got me thinking that maybe the race is changing slightly ...its still kinda new and it would be interesting to analysis the quality of the 3m in years when we have a Samcro/Envoi situation

i am probably pocket talking but would be suprised if THYNE HILL runs here. The Champion Bumper is a poor trial for this. How often does a young horse go up a mile in Championship races in a year ? and when i tweeted about staying at 2m 5f ..Richard Johnson likedd the tweet

                        • Is it not that Colin wants him in the AB and Joe wants him here?

Excellent, thanks Jackie. That Skybet 20/1 mistake looking juicy now

There were two contradictory articles in the space of 48hrs so your guess is as good as mine as to where he'll end up.

Last years race (Albert Bartlett) was an anomaly as inexperienced horses filled the places. It could be a sign of things to come as some expensive purchases have skipped their bumper season in order to expedite the process of getting them over fences.
