I really hope they come here with The Big Breakaway; unless it was really fast ground can’t see any reason he should go for the Albert Bartlett and you can’t be scared of one horse

Joe Tizzard expects him to be better on nicer ground as he has such a good action.

Like I said I think Jockey will have his say, and he'll have information from all sides.
I do think it travels so within itself and looks more of a stayer, and it seems relaxed enough to travel behind the bridle.
Would probably get beat by a speedier horse in this race.

Probably true, but remmeber LIT went to the Supreme, i personally think tizzard is very much about chasing with a lot of them, and its just experience and education over hurdles. Mind you, this guy could still win, he looks v decent.

Think the formlines we have on our side should tell us not to get too carried away, especially for a classier race like this.

Won't be getting too carried away, but i'm sure he's shortened plenty (beyond value). Just don't see them throwing him in an AB at all.

Tizzards already said he's not slow, is young and massive.....just can't see it .

The Big Breakaway has excited us all the way through and has gone about that like a really nice horse, but we've got to remind ourselves he's only four. He's 17hh, so he's going to keep improving and we'll look for a race around Christmas. He's a lovely actioned horse and I'm sure he'll be better on better ground, but he can cope with that easy ground with his size and raw ability. He's not short of pace and works well at home. He's one of our nicest young horses and looks like he has a massive future - he's exciting, really exciting - Joe Tizzard, assistant trainer

Most definitely. I mentioned him a few posts back during my pre-race assessment for the AB. Very much a staying pedigree.

why would it not be minding him going for the bartlett ?
You could stretch his guts and hurt him pychologically in either race.
If they want to mind him the jockey will ride accordingly as the race progresses.
the extra half mile will make fuck all difference.

Elliott just confirmed that Envoi Allen goes to Naas for the 2m 4f race.

“Naas is a great track and we have a good few entered in the Lawlor's Of Naas Hurdle. The plan is to run Envoi Allen. He won the Royal Bond well at Fairyhouse and the step up two and half miles will suit him. We'll run something else along with him – we'll see closer to the time what else we'll run."

If he wins, I think it guarantees this being his target

Luckily for racing fans not everyone wants to (supposedly) avoid Envoi Allen...

Martin Brassil hopes to run his Longhouse Poet, an impressive winner of a Navan maiden hurdle on his most recent start.

Brassil said: "He's a nice horse and he won well at Navan. The Lawlor's fits into his programme nicely and the plan is for him to go there. It will be a big step up from Navan, but I've been very happy with him and he'll go to Naas."

Joseph O'Brien also holds a strong hand, with Midnight Run and Embittered holding entries.

Speaking about his contingent, O'Brien said: "Midnight Run and Embittered will probably go to Naas. We also have Front View in the race and we'll see what we'll do with him a bit closer to the time."

Music to my ears that news Jackie. I’m off to Naas in a few weeks so was hoping for a good competitive race. Also didn’t like the look of Gigginstown leaving Midnight Run in the 6 day decs for the 2m at Leopardstown!

I don’t think the Irish will avoid Envoi Allen at Naas, it’s a step up in trip for him, and a decent field of entries.
