  • Wouldn’t like to guess at that but just watching the run I think there’s a lot of work to be done before thinking about the festival. With all JP’s other options I don’t think this boy will be near the top of the list. I’d say slowly slowly with him and maybe miss this year for Aintree.

They’ve said that since his point win. They were talking him up as a potential Gold Cup horse for the future. Breeding would point to at least middle distances.

Defo- Best Mate & Kicking King we’re gold cup horses but ran in the Supreme as novices. Where they end up & where they’ll run as novice hurdlers doesn’t always tally.

I like that one CK. A gault style stat.

There is also the possibility they go easy on him this season and take the long game approach.

                    • Gordon says he has a few nice ones at home and he is one of them. Also says he could go up or down in trip with him but 2 1/2 is fine. Not sure 2 miles will suit but I can see him potentially going Albert. It all depends on how JP shuffles his pack and also, imo, where Envoi ends up. Interesting times

                      • Unexcepted amongst the entries alongside Envoi Allen in the Lawlors of Naas novice hurdle. Would be an interesting match up we’re they to face off

Makes sense. He could end up here along with Elixr with Blue Sari and Chantry House going Supreme and AD going
Albert. That would be a good split for JP.

If he wins in a classy fashion today, I'd doubt the bartlett would be considered.
