His bumper has worked out nicely, the 2nd and 3rd from his bumper have ran quality hurdles debuts, where chantry house was pushed out to the line to be well on top of them.

Shiskin has been highly touted as has jp's dlauro, they were visually impressive but there was simply no depth there, I wouldnt be surprised at all, if chantry house is the better horse.

I couldn't be certain whether hes a ballymore or albert bartlett horse, but he starts over 2m on sat.. and will be an interesting watch.
I’d pencilled him in for the Ballymore myself. JP does seem to have plenty of ammunition for that race though.

    • Dlauro out over 2 mile tomorrow.

      Very interesting race.

      Rebellito for Ricci
      Fils Spirituel for Donnelly

      Hopefully informative.

He won a point-to-point in January and then a bumper on his racecourse debut at the Punchestown festival. He ran very well when second in a 2m3f maiden hurdle at Naas this month. He finished well clear of the third and I'd say plenty of winners will come out of the race. He'll probably go for a 2m4f hurdle at Navan early next month.

I hope he meets, andy dufresne there, as I'm pretty sure long house poet / elixir d'ainay ran in the far better race.

I’d be fairly confident Midnight Run will take his place at Navan too. Shaping up to be a cracker!

I fancy his chances in the spud race and have backed accordingly. He doesn’t look short of pace but his full brother Carefully Selected is the only progeny we have to go by and he’s proven to be a dour stayer. He’ll most likely go for the Navan Novice Hurdle in 3 weeks time & that will tell us more.

These are JJ Slevin’s quote after his Cork maiden win.

"His bumper form was good last year and I'd say he is a good solid horse and will be a good stayer. Going up in trip in time will be no harm to him. He is another exciting one and Colreevy is a very decent mare. He got through the ground well and has a good attitude."

Both entries for Chantry House are over 2m (Newcastle and Newbury). Although Hendo likes to start a lot of horses over 2m, I'd be confident of ruling out the AB myself.

The owners also have Shishkin with Henderson and he could also be a Ballymore type too. I've asked Bet365 for a price for the Ballymore but he's probably one for the TWAR market which I don't really dabble in due to multiples being restricted.
It Sure Is entered over 2m4f at Newbury on Friday.

                    • See King Roland is also entered up at Newbury Friday but starting over 2m

Yeah. That sort of blows my AB prediction

Haha you never know mate! I’ve got him here but also any race. Backed fairly early actually after reading Mark Howard’s OJA.

Still every chance. I had him down as Ballymore, mostly because of connections really, but backed him 'any race' as he seemed more of a staying type in his races.

                            • Never get get why folk think starting over 2m is a negative for the AB , plenty have in the past and it's not like you just need a plodder (thou there has been the odd one )

Kilbricken Storm and Penhill are must two that ran and won over 2m before winning the Albert Bartlett
