Not sure how many on here get the RP but this really stood out today in the Monday Jury:

"Which particular contest are you looking forward to this jumps season and why - Jamie Codd - Whatever race Envoi Allen ends up in at Cheltenham. I'll be very interested to chart his progression and see if he's a Supreme horse or a Ballymore horse. He's probably the best horse I've ever ridden and he looks exciting."

      Some comment !!!!!

Entry does not look like a Supreme horse

Now due to run over 2 miles on Saturday rather than 2m 6f.

Got this off the tweet machine....

Gordon Elliott on RTE 2fm just there, Envoi Allen starts over 2miles in Down Royal, no shattered love going to clonmel. Delta Work could line up in the daily mirror chase, Elliott's preference is the big one but has to talk to O Learys first.

                    • Rather he starts over 2m as all about education at this stage. No point bottoming him out over 2m 6f in November. It's all about the Spring. Samcro started over 2 before winning Ballymore.

Whilst it’s usual for trainers to start over shorter distances, I don’t think a maiden hurdle over 2m 6f is going to ‘bottom’ Envoi Allen out

Lol ! Probably not the best choice of words but you get the gist.

                          • If Blue Sari is going up in trip, does he interest some here for this?

It's not like Envoi Allen destroyed him and Mullins is better than Elliott at training hurdlers.

I guess Blue Sari is a pants price too though.

And I'd still maintain Willie has better horses than Blue Sari that her didn't run last year ...

Do you think Willies unraced bumper horses from last season will go straight over hurdles now?

If I was a backer of Envoi Allen it wouldn’t bother me in the slightest. He looks like a horse who could win a maiden over any trip, especially those weak, early season Irish races where they run at a dawdle and only 2 or 3 horses are trying.

A little known previous winner took this route:

                                2m 6f maiden at Punchestown
                                2m 4f novice at Navan
                                3m Grade 3 at Limerick
                                2m 5f Ballymore winner
