Hello Fat Jockeys,

"He will either run at Cheltenham on Saturday week or there is a Listed novice hurdle at Exeter a fortnight afterwards. The Cheltenham race is over two-and-a-half and might come too soon," said Hobbs.
"He would have needed his first run at Exeter, as he is quite a gross horse. The handicapper gave him a rating of 146, so he can't run in an ordinary handicap, as he has not had three runs. It would have to be in a class one or two handicap.
"He won a point-to-point before he came to England, so you imagine he would stay. Certainly the way he was won his two races you would think there is no problem going further, but he has won both of his races over two-mile-one, so he is not slow either."
So he's a grade 1, class 2 staying handicap sprinter?

The Exeter Listed race mentioned for SPORTING JOHN in early Feb is a 2-Miler.

        • For some reason, I am convinced Envoi Allen will be running over two miles (likely Supreme; possibly Champion). With that questionable logic, I think 20/1 Asterian Forlonge represents decent enough value for this.. His winning time (and sectionals) at Naas were excellent and he did it on the bridle. He could run in the Albert Bartlett but he has enough speed for this. Expect him to run in the 2m 6f at the DRF.

I’m with you on this- he reminds me so much of Champagne Fever- another Champion Bumper winner who was touted for a Neptune before winning the Supreme of course.

If I owned EA I would take a crack at the Champion Hurdle. I don’t think anything could go with him.

If I’m Michael O’Leary I just go the opposite to EA- i would quite fancy Abracadabras to go close in the Champ Hurdle and wouldn’t it be ironic if he were to win it the season after Samcro tried it. I think Gigg would like to win this race.

              • I seen both Vautour and Envoi in the flesh.

Envoi reminds me so much of Vautour.

                Envoi for the Ballymore.

Reminds you of the horse that won the Supreme easily

Should be a good test as Master Debonair is due to run too.

Exactly. If people want to do the supreme/ballymore debate again then I suggest reading pages 95 to 115, that should satisfy them urges

Was typing same but perhaps in a more “ Q” style

                        • I was genuinely surprised by the numbers of contributors on this forum whose Tipping selections didn’t have Envoi Allen the winner of the Ballymore. Is this a genuine belief he won’t win or that his odds are too short and you’ve gone for a better value selection?

It's probably a combination of the two. Hopefully The Big Breakaway goes here, I can see him putting it up to EA big time

                              Tizzard said here this morning.

Needs to win next time obviously to have a leading chance, but I wouldnt back against him in doing so.

Think several still believe the Supreme is his race
