Maybe they have also backed him ballymore (that was not stated) but youd have to say he will run here if they have there money down at 100/1
He's just won a decent trial over 2 miles on soft.
The supreme usually suits the NH bred staying types anyway as they go a good enough gallop, and it will be on the softer side of good to soft no matter what.
So the supreme would make most sense.

    • Anyone backing Poet or Elixir today doubled with EA Supreme?

The only feasible way he's going Supreme is if he gets beaten today....

      • Or EA supreme doubled with poet or elixir ballymore

Im doing none of the above though

        • You can back both poet or elixir for the ballymore with cashout.... can’t imagine they will be pushed out far (if at all) if they are beat today. If narrowly beaten would be cut...

You'd be better off backing them today than doing that though.

I'm on both at bigger than they are now, playing with ideas

            • Not really as you would lose all your stake if they don’t win... I don’t think they will necessarily be pushed out if they lose so it’s a bit different

              • I’m a bit nervous today about EA.

If he wins, we’re likely sitting on an Evens shot at double figure prices. If he loses, the Ballymore bets are gone and I’m down to the Any Race bets for the Supreme.

I just really really want to see him win. My biggest antepost last year was Benie but she never has a trial so I didn’t have this anxious situation. Let’s just hope he wins. Seems like the whole forum is on him for March.

Theres nothing to worry about at all, he likely wins.
But everyone has the opportunity to cover with Elixir D. Or whatever they personally think. That would replace him at the front like for like.

                      • Bookies have had everything go their way so far re AP bets for the Fez with several big guns bombing out and others out for the season. Punters desperately need the festival banker to come up with the goods today and put up a big performance. Envoi will not disappoint. He is a superstar.

                        • Well I missed the odds on Envoi Allen. But managed to get Longhouse Poet at 33's so good luck to all in this trial race.

                          • Envoi surely goes odds on after a big win today

                            • You know in terms of horses other than EA to watch in today’s Naas race, I really like the Mouse Morris runner. Granted the form isn’t up to much but for him to have a point winner go and win on debut over hurdles, that caught my eye. I’ve had a little e/w play on him today for this- was it this race that Champagne Fever got beat in one year before ending up winning the Supreme? Who won that day? Rule The World (for Mouse Morris).

He wouldn’t just tilt at windmills here would he and I’ve taken the chance he might sneak into the first 2 and find himself a Ballymore or AB horse

                              • Hugely exciting race today in Lawlors of Naas. Quality in depth with lots of side interests.

Envoi Allen - love the horse and he did me a big favour in Champion Bumper. Deserved fav today but is a silly price, he should be closer to evs. against this quality of opposition.

Elixir D'ainay/Longhouse Poet - completely separate strand of form with no collateral. Overpriced with interesting side issue of getting a fix on Kevs early spot for Column of Fire.

Midnight Run - 5l to find on bumper form with Envoi. Impressive 1st time out whacking Coolrevy. Disappointed in royal bond race may have come too early. Backed him for this @ 20/1

Conflated - interesting to see if he can frank the Latest Exhibition form o/s chance for spud race
