We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.
I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Just a posh polite trainer way of saying it was not his running then. Same difference.
Not at all. It means he's been checked by the vet at the course and trotted up fine. He hoped that he would be better than that. But he hasn't an excuse why he wasnt.

Beautifully put. I'm sure it'll come out in the wash...
I think Gordon was advising that it was nothing to do with lameness, or anything that could be seen physically wrong with the horse walking him up after the race. Then he will check him back in the yard for other less visible issues, by blood test etc. Nothing to report at this time.
The jockey thought he was running well and then from 2 out,
he was beaten by a better stayer.
The main worry for me would be thats the first time he's seen another horse at the business end of a race and looked like he wasn't really up for the fight.... seemed to give in a little too easily for my liking.
But its early days. He's finished second in a Grade 2 against a horse who stays very well on only his second start over hurdles. He could have learnt alot for next time or could just not be as good as hoped. Too early to be too definitive either way. I'd say Gordon gets more right than he does wrong.

Think Gordon was surprised how close the 3rd got to him as well. Clearly he expected AD to put a lot more distance between them based on what he knows at home.

Agree Lobos. I think people might be guilty of entrenching in their positions they held before the race.
Gordon Elliott felt Andy Dufresne did not run to his best.
"I don't think he finished his race out. From the last to the line he was up and down in the one spot and the third horse got too close to him," he said.
"I don't want to take anything away from the winner - he was very good. We'll have to go back to the drawing board."
Whats the attachment he'd done nothing before today to expect more?
Forget about him and move on.
Scooby. You've made it quite clear you dont rate the horse, and thats your prerogative. Why do you feel the need to tell people to 'forget about him and move on'? If people like him and want to give him another chance, thats their prerogative too.

He's been clearly over hyped and judged way too highly on here. Now hes beat fair and square by a horse who isn't a world beater himself. Every excuse under the sun comes up.
