  • QUOTES: THE BIG BREAKAWAY has excited us all the way through and has gone about that like a really nice horse, but we've got to remind ourselves he's only four. He's 17hh, so he's going to keep improving and we'll look for a race around Christmas. He's a lovely actioned horse and I'm sure he'll be better on better ground, but he can cope with that easy ground with his size and raw ability. He's not short of pace and works well at home. He's one of our nicest young horses and looks like he has a massive future - he's exciting, really exciting - Joe Tizzard, assistant trainer

Re pace, page 45 of Mark Howard’s book goes into the specifics of some of the times he’s posted re him being pretty quick. Don’t have the book with me but can post specifics tomorrow

        • One horse that I had neglected to mention from my (never ending) short list for the Ballymore was It Sure Is of Nicky Henderson. I've just gone back through my notes and marked him down as a Ballymore horse. I think the reason I hesitated in the first place was that I figured he'd remain in bumpers this season. The owners also have Shishkin with Henderson and he could also be a Ballymore type too. I've asked Bet365 for a price for the Ballymore but he's probably one for the TWAR market which I don't really dabble in due to multiples being restricted.

I always keep an eye on the sales to short list horses and It Sure Is was not the main headline as Jonjo had paid £440K for Papa Tango Charly. However, the combination of Colin Bowe + Anthony Bromley + Nicky Henderson made me take note.

It is also interesting that a number of the stable staff put him up as their horse to follow in a Unibet video as well.

          Aintree Sale
Colin Bowe also offered the Shirocco gelding It Sure Is and the Ballynoe maiden winner will be trained by Nicky Henderson after Anthony Bromley and David Minton of Highflyer Bloodstock went to £150,000 to secure the four-year-old.

"Nicky thought he was the nicest looking horse in the catalogue," explained Bromley. "We've enjoyed plenty of success with our previous purchases from Colin Bowe - The Glancing Queen, who won the final race today, being a case in point."

His pedigree screams class as a son of the Presenting mare Stay At Home Mum, a sister to the Bet365 Gold Cup winner Hennessy and half-sister to Hatton's Grace Hurdle-winning mare Voler La Vedette.

          Pedigree
£150,000 Aintree April 2019; second foal; dam unraced sister to bumper/2m7f-3m5f hurdle/useful chase winner Hennessy, half-sister to high-class bumper/2m-3m hurdle winner Voler La Vedette and useful 2m-2m4f hurdle/chase winner Molineaux

          ATR Stable Tour
He has done exceptionally well since joining us and he could start off in a bumper, but I am keen to get him going over hurdles. He could be pretty smart.

Has done exceptionally over the summer, developing into a fine-looking horse. We could start in a bumper, but I'm inclined to go hurdling and he's an exciting prospect who could be smart.

          • Have him in the tracker myself Jackie. Close form lines from PTP’s with Ferny Hollow through Bloodstone.

            • I'm not sure who owns him but GIANTS TABLE at hendos is meant to be very nice too. (Bought by Jamie codd)

I keep hearing him being referenced when others related to him or ran against him are being purchased by those connected to the yard.

An exciting chaser of the future, he was impressive in his point and could go straight over hurdles; one to note.

                        • Abacadabras is an odd one thought he would be a 2miler through and through

Fury Road will win this in my view. Was very impressed with his debut run where he jumped impeccably and cruised through the race, quickening away to win with plenty left. Surprised Abacadabras has taken this option but think he is here for the decent place prize money on offer before dropping back to 2 miles. Looks all speed to me and can't see him beating FR in this. Good looking race.

Same. Tough little race too. Winner deserves to be fav for the ballymore. I suppose you'd have to take at face value that's where the winner would go.

Arguably their 3 top novices could help decide how to shuffle the pack
