Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

  • Its hard to see past Paisley Park for this race but does anybody think that Champ could give him something to think about if he ends up here?

Yes, he would definitely give him a race. 1 from 1 in Grade 1 3M Hurdles.

Champ? Not sure it's on the agenda for him unless I've missed something

he seems to have an entry which passed me by too.

          • Yes its certainly on the agenda. Ladbrokes and Corals 6/1, bet365 5/1. You can get 20/1 but thats not nrnb.

Hendo stated he needed to run Champ again over fences and planned for Kelso.

If there was no chance of him switching to this race then he wouldnt have kept him entered. He must be seriously considering the switch now that he was unable to get another run into him over fences.

            • It would actually make the stayers hurdle a lot more interesting if they do come here. I would imagine Paisley Park backers would not be liking this if it happens.

              • IMO They either pull stumps on his chasing now and pitch here, or....would need to stay over fences this season if they have any hope of him being a Gold Cup prospect next year, 8yo now which is hard to believe, here was me thinking he was 7!

                • Champ is a big old boy made for fences, surely they see the RSA plan through rather than tackle Paisley Park here. I just cant see it but suppose it wouldnt be the biggest shock in racing.

He was a second season Novice Hurdler last season, that’s where he lost a year c/w normal progress.

                    • Ahhh that explains it then, he has to have brushed up his jumping for NJH to have the confidence to send him to the RSA without another prep run (racecourse schooling aside).

Although i do think in this race everyone will be fighting for 2nd place, it would be interesting to see him here.

                      • I would still fancy Paisley Park to win this if Champ turns up but it would certainly make for a more interesting contest if they do clash.
I would say its 60% likely that Champ will run here and 40% that he will run RSA. Could go either way but unless Champ has shown big improvement in his schooling at home then I think this race is a slightly more viable option.

I was of the same view mate of tying up cash!

Clearly some have though going 4/6 now

                          • I think a lot will depend on his racecourse schooling this coming week!

He jumps poorly he could well come here. Jumps well I’d agree with others and surely RSA is the target, always has been.

You should really be taking the 60 on the exchanges then.

Given that he is 60.0, it's long odds on he goes RSA.

I love a good random use of percentage's.
But this is way off the mark.
