  • Not read anything and didn't watch the preview either ... but my thoughts are ...

If Envoi Allen was going to the Supreme, the stable would have taken 20s way before this preview.

This market move is the public, hedging their bets and/or panicking.

Heavy is the only way Envoi Allen goes here in my oppppiiiinnniiiiooooonnnnnn

Willie will be well aware in advance what Gordon is doing with Envoi if he wishes

he has said he'll run in supreme if heavy is in the going. if official going is soft shortly before decs time with rain forecast monday and tuesday will he trust the forecast?

        • BBC and met office showing 3 dry days so am I right in saying his decision will need to be made Sunday for 48 hour decs for supreme if he’s in or not?

I’d say ground could well be soft with good to soft by time he walks the course Sunday.

            • I’ve not backed Envoi Allen in either race, but if there’s any doubt come 48 dec time then I think he runs in the Supreme. All but one of his runs have been at 2 miles, it’s very unlikely to be any better than soft and he looks perfectly suited to a stiff 2 miles on slow ground.

If Elliott doesn’t declare on Sunday, he then runs the risk of a slog, which however unlikely, will be in his mind on Sunday.

                  • Looking at the forecast and current going I find it very unlikely there is going to be any heavy in the going. I know trusting our forecasters is a crazy thought!

I think that is spot on and also what I believe most people would think who haven't got money on the horse for the Ballymore.

If that's the case I would be absolutely smashing the 5.8 available on betfair cos I'm sure it's a better horse than Shishkin.
