Master Debonair will be sticking to two miles following his exciting Grade 2 victory by eight lengths at Ascot just before Christmas.
“He’ll most likely run in a Listed race at Exeter over two miles on February 9, which Native River and Vision Des Flos both won, so that will be a nice race for him," Tizzard said.
“His sectional times from Ascot were really impressive and I’d imagine he’ll only be entered in the Supreme.”
It looks like, with Puppy’s help, that they are picking the right Festival races for their team.
I’m not sure he’ll get all the Tizzard novice hurdlers split up so he has a good ride in each race. For me the Fiddler is the only horse that has two genuine options. If he was mine I’d make use of Master Debonair setting a good pace in the Supreme and go for that race. It’s set up nicely for him and is likely to be a more winnable race than the Ballymore. Tizzard uses Harry Cobden and Dickie Johnson so they could easily come in for the spare ride.
Does anyone when Chantry House is racing next? He’s still pretty big odds given his reputation. I’ve got him TWAR but think the Supreme is his race now but not sure what his up and coming potential entries are. He won his hurdles debut but the race write up reads better than the performance but he still won.
Wondering this myself. He looks really useful, even more so since edwardstone has franked the bumper form.
While Willie's best in this tends to be a french recruit bar CF, who was a very classy bumper horse. I think Mt Leinster has been a little overlooked here. He doesn't come with the proper unexposed profile as he was ran at every big day last season in bumpers and looked readily exposed. However, i thought his bumper debut was very promising and Easywork has backed that up. Easywork also had a run previous to that in a bumper so was entitled to be fitter.
He beat Entoucas very readily, for all, Entoucas could've been under the weather and also is becoming very hard to win with. That horse has lines with Klassical dream + Envoi. So for all a pinch of salt is needed, there's a level of form there.
I don't think he's ever going to be their Supreme hype horse as such. They still need to come out, but he's one i'm going to keep watching. He's 33s now and he time was decent. If he's entered in the Moscow Flyer for example, i might bet.
