I had backed him for the bumper but when I noticed he had an entry I cashed out the other day. Prob needs further in the long run but was very impressive there. Cant find him in the novice hurdle markets yet

B365 have Elixir D’Ainay at 16/1 Any Race, if there is any doubt as to which race he could run in.

“It was a nice positive performance from him.I think he'll want much further in trip&I'll be going out in trip with him.I'll probably look for a novice hurdle over 2-&-a-1/2 miles rather than 2 miles,"

I'm just glad he did the business today over 2m which was a good starting point. They've so many good novices / juveniles there waiting to come out that I'm excited to see, thats 1 off the check list and they're all mainly over the minimum trip now.

“I'd imagine we'll go to the Dublin racing festival now, and probably over two-and-a-half. We'll go wherever we can and try and plan a path to Cheltenham maybe and try and avoid the other fella!”

                  • I would like to see a Graded entry for ASTERION FORLONGE next time out to see what he has got, and whether 2M4F or 3M is the way to go for him.

The owners have some good novices so he may fit in at the Ballymore, with Shishkin at 2M and The Big Getaway at 3M, but interesting to see their next entries to assess connections thinking.

The race today was really only full of hurdling debutants which he was head and shoulders above, posting a 140+ RPR. Just needs to avoid jumping right, other than that it was the perfect hurdling debut.

On his tendency to jump right:- “I don't know why he was doing that. Schooling at home he goes the other way.

“He was probably just idling. He wants to do anything but do the right thing which is a good sign as it means there is way more improvement to come.

“He had to do it the hard way, make all his own running there today, and was just running around in front.

“Hopefully we can sort that out before his next run.”

Hopefully he's not feeling anything. Often jumping out of the ordinary indicates an injury.

                        • Does anyone when Chantry House is racing next? He’s still pretty big odds given his reputation. I’ve got him TWAR but think the Supreme is his race now but not sure what his up and coming potential entries are. He won his hurdles debut but the race write up reads better than the performance but he still won.

There aren't many at all for him over further, which WPM hinted at.

                            DRF.
a winners of 2 listed race in feb. he's won 1.
Nothing much else i can see on HRI anyway.

                            • Update from Tizzard Jr:

Master Debonair will be sticking to two miles following his exciting Grade 2 victory by eight lengths at Ascot just before Christmas.
“He’ll most likely run in a Listed race at Exeter over two miles on February 9, which Native River and Vision Des Flos both won, so that will be a nice race for him," Tizzard said.

“His sectional times from Ascot were really impressive and I’d imagine he’ll only be entered in the Supreme.”

It looks like, with Puppy’s help, that they are picking the right Festival races for their team.
