Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Yep. Just watched it, usual waffly romantic, one for next year shite.
But also sensible not to get carried away after a maiden win,

but it sounds like they'll run him again and the logical step would be a better class race, then they might reconsider after that.
especially if some of his others don't look as good. be a waste of a novice season if he's actually good enough.
remember him saying simliar stuff about santini and some others too.

    • QUOTES: MISTER COFFEY is a lovely horse. He is going to be a spectacular horse. Lady Bamford said there was no rush, to mind him, as you could see Nico was trying to do. He didn't know he'd been in a race and it was a lovely introduction. He's got there on the bridle and just had to be squeezed. A couple of weeks ago I was saying I'd love to have him as a maiden for next season, but he's got to race. You could go chasing next season, but I don't want to do too much with him this term. He's won his maiden so we can't put him to bed now. If anything he was too keen and he's got plenty of pace; you wouldn't want him going any further at the moment - Nicky Henderson, trainer

This is the earliest I’ve followed and bet antepost on the novice Hurdle markets (starting betting September). Is Abracadbras racing so much to win as much money as possible as he’s had 4 races is 3 months which only a few other horses have done so far. Would there be a fear he has peaked already and won’t be able to sustain this improvement by March?? I’ve missed the price on him after I stupidly cashed out my decent antepost bet on him accidentally but can’t bring myself to back him so short?

I’ve not backed him either and the price is gone now. If I was a backer the number of runs would not worry me too much as previous winners of the race have had all sorts of different preparations. At the end of the day he has the form and apart from maybe a couple from Willie, we’ve seen all the main protagonists.

Don't need to worry too much about Abacadabra's King P.
On my laptop with B365 it is a touchscreen and I can cash out with one touch and no safety net of a confirm option. Although I can on my phone and Ipad. I queried this with B365 and they basically said they couldn't help me and my laptop (chromebook) will remain the same.

I assume you had a similar experience or are you the forum's Frank Spencer ? (in an affectionate sense)

            • I was pissed and checking odd changes on some multiples late at night on my Bet 365 phone app and I cashed on 2 that we’re looking crap but accidentally cashed out on my Abracadabras Gordon Elliot lucky 63 bet which included Fury Road and Delta Work at bigger prices. I was hoping he was going to lose yesterday so his price would drift but he just keeps winning and then Fury Road & Delta Work have won since to compound my misery!! I can’t see anything beating Abracadabras from what I’ve seen so far. I accept the Frank Spencer comparisons

              • I still believe Unexcepted will run a mighty race here , he cruised through his race jumping brilliantly and to my eyes didnt stay ,a 2m horse defo ,he folded like it was trip rather than fitness and im prepared to give him another chance. The winner Easywork could be very good indeed.

lol ,he followed me in .

In all seriousness I back with the gut and eyes using timeform as back up , he got gears to burn . For reasons only Mullins knows they pushed him out in trip , he all speed and hurdles so fast. Blue Sari bombed out now suggests a rethink in the McManus camp , we know they love to have the winner of the first.. Andy D possibly , Jandilil maybe , Chantry could be the new number 1 but for me im all in on Unexcepted.

Listening to this I'm so glad I don't have any cash out options. Not my style anyways. Whilst I obviously like to win a few quid, cashing in and out, up and down would be too much for this old man. I just pick my AP's and run with them and hope for the best. All shop bets. Never had an online account .

                      • I’m interested in SPORTING JOHN as one to have in the team for this race. Two from two at Exeter so far for Hobbs/JP, entered back there on NYD with a double penalty and 12st1lb over 2M again, not sure if he would run,

Already on OR of 146 without taking on any graded horses or races, could be quietly building up for this race.

I did think another run then the Betfair Hurdle (JP does like to have a crack at it) but he could be getting too high in the handicap.

My Tent or Yours won the Betfair off 149 for owner before finishing placed in the Supreme
Get Me Out Of Here won the Betfair off 151 for the owner before finishing placed in the Supreme.
Both of their Betfair had topweights of at least 10lb higher than their mark though.
