It does smell of something though, Abacadabra's might not be perfect.

He's been quite sheepish with Aba there, but Envoi goes Ballymore bar heavy ground. It's the easier race, he's producing great chat about his sponsor's preview night.

I’m not able to watch the preview right now-was planning on catching up tomorrow.

                    What’s GE said about aba?

                    • A couple of days without rain, until Saturday night is going to help the ground recover a bit from being almost permanently soft for months, at Cheltenham.

The Saturday night/Sunday rain would counter that to some degree.

It’s the heavy rain all day on Monday that would surely return it to soft on the going stick, or maybe even a bit of heavy in places in the dips in the course.

The BBCs weather report seems to have worsened a lot in the last 24-hours, with rain half of Tuesday and most of Wednesday as well now. Only a day or two ago I thought I was going to have four dry days on course.

                      • Not sure what the big hullabaloo is about. Pretty reasonable comments to make and still leads me to believe Envoi Allen is a Ballymore horse unless the monsoon season arrives at Cheltenham.

                        • I suppose with the weather reports, it’s more what impact it would have on the chances of Envoi Allen and every other Festival runner, in their chosen race, and what ground the main opposition thrives on too.

I’ve read a lot about Abacadabras preferring some better ground, which, if the Supreme was on soft ground, could weaken Gordon’s hand in the Supreme, as that’s his only entry, apart from EA.

Gordon’s only entries in the Ballymore are EA and Easywork, so he is spread pretty thin with three horses across two races.

The other two are Giggy horses (Aba/Supreme and Easywork/Ballymore), so his only decision on the two races is ground-related for EA.

He will want to be getting it right, when he gets over to Cheltenham to make his decision, for these important new owners, and their unbeaten horse.

                          • So lets say if Envoi Allen is now going Surpreme, would Mullins be tempted to put Asterion Forlonge in the Ballymore very late on? The fact he's already got Shiskin in it and knowing Envoi Allen in the race would force him to change the plan.

With this, will Willie not have to declare AF at the same time as Gordy with EA.....if so he’d have to second guess what Gordon will do.

Already got The Big Getaway, but anything is possible.
